after going to a wedding fair and a bloke let us try sitting in a car similar to the one we was having i started to worring about getting in and out. so today i rang the guy thats doing our wedding car to see if we could go visit and check it was suitable. i have problems with mobility and was worried my legs wudnt have the strength to left me up to climb into the car and when to visit today to find my fears are true i cudnt get up the step
well nothin for us to do but look for another car thats suitable for me. only thngs is h2b loves his old fords and is driving me crazy with wanting one for the wedding saying it will be fine but again am worried it not be suitable.
please can any one help :( does any one know of any cheap cars for hire in the nottingham areas? our budget is low of only £150 as a friends of my dads was doin it for us as a mates rate and not budgetted any more for it and have only 3 months till wedding

I cant help in terms of recommendations but my friend has limited mobility and hired a convertible. However on the day the weather was awful and the top was up and as she went to get in we soon realised she could not get up the step by herself as the top was up. I sent her husband in the car first so he could hold her arm to help her up and I basically and discreetly stood behind her to lift her up to enable her to get in. Not ideal but maybe an option??

Would you be able to use a stepstool to get up onto the step into the car. Some taxi services tend to have them for customers who have difficulty getting into high sided vehicles. Will have a look where you can get one if that would help.
