    HI Gals!!!

I'm helping my sister with her wedding stationary and although she is having a civil ceremony she has decided she wants an order of service / order of ceremony to give people rather than an order of the day.

The information given by the registrar is as follows:

    introduction and welcome

    giving away of bride

    legal prelimanaries

    declaration of freedom

    contract of marriage

    personal ring vows

    announcement

    signing of the registrar

    photography

So not only do I have to continue to pester my sister and her fiance for where the readings will go amongst this I also have to try and make the wording sound a bit more - erm - wedding-ey??

Any ideas people???? I'm really struggling!!!

I thought you could do what you wanted at a civil wedding so I think yes!! Have the order of service if you want!

Ooh, glad I found this thread! We are having a civil service and my friends have been asking me if we have an order of service. I hadn't given it much thought till recently but the more I think about it the more I think it is a good idea. This thread has given me some ideas on what to put in it. Thank you :-)

I want to make orders of service for our civil ceremony too, but I'm not sure what exactly to put in it.....who do I need to speak to to find out what happens when? Are all civil ceremonies the same wherever in the country you are?
