a friend of the family who ive known since the day i was born has offered to do our buffet for £5.50 per head, (shes knocked 50p off original price) but the food is just a standard party buffet, sausage rolls, sandwiches etc. im in 2 minds wether to go with her or just get outside caterers do the buffet as ive found one on google that do a better selection of food for only £5.99 per head. h2b doesnt want to spend a fortune on food incase it gets wasted but if we order 10 or 20 heads less than what will be there surely we shouldnt have any left over? we have finally found a venue that we are both happy with but i want something better than a standard party buffet after all it is our day that is only going to happy once in our lifetime

I think if the food is good enough it wouldn't go to waste. Being down on 10 head's is quite a lot, I'd no way go as far as 20. A wedding can be quite a long day and people will be hungry especially if that's the only food that will be provided. If the quality in food is going to be much better than I'd definitely pay that little bit extra. Where's the venue you've picked?

Less food will go wasted if it's great food. Could she do something different? Otherwise I'd go with the better selection at £5.99. It's still a great price per head! We're paying nearly £10 a head!

my mum has a catering firm ans they always do 20 less than how many are there cos not a lot of people eat of buffets, i would go with the one you found on google xx
the greatest thing is to love and to be loved in return
only the sartan club in withywood melody. i suppose even if we only go down to paying for 100 it would only be £599 so only £50 more than the family friend. gonna speak to h2b when he gets home from work see what he says as hes a right pain in the back side at the moment when it comes to this wedding

Actually I was just thinking, being down by 20 is fine. My buffet is catering for 80% so that's exactly the same!

yeh we got about 110 coming to the reception so i think if cater for about 90-95 we should be ok

we got about 140-150 cumin catering for 100 on buffet then gettin a cheese cake and cuttin cake up 4 nite time
