Have just dropped my wedding cd music to the
registry office and they asked me if I had someone
    to do the music!

I thought that they had someone there that could
    put the cd in....

I don't want one of my wedding party sitting
at the back doing it.... Has anyone else come
across this and what are you doing about it??

I know at the registry office where i live you have to do the music yourself! How hard is to for the lady or man who marrys you to touch a button!
When i was bridesmaid for my friend she had the same thing i just did it for her! No1 even noticed apparently :) x

i thought that was their responsibility?? its bad if you have to ask someone from your wedding party to do it, in a church whether you have cd or organist, the church do it all x

Is there not a friend or relative who isnt in the wedding party but would maybe appreciate a role in your day? I am asking my brother to do the music for us. Like you say, its only pressing a few buttons.

you can probably trust your friends better than someone you don't know..lol My daughter and I had spent 18 months choosing music..timing it so she knew when to open doors, when to begin walking when her h2b was to turn etc etc..the big day arrives...we hear a rustle..the bride is here...cue music..a sound like a cackling witch coming from the back..my daughter laughing uncontrollably...was it the beautiful classical piece we had painstakingly laboured over?? was it not!!! It was The Beatles!!!
I am sure one of your friends will oblige. xxx

I am already assuming they won't do it. I had to do it for a friend's wedding, so I'd already assumed the registrar wouldn't. However if you are getting married somewhere other than the registry office, you may find someone at the venue could do it for you? Or if you have a toastmaster/MC they might? But yeah, you definitely need to have someone organised to do it that isn't the registrars.

That has been my attitude for quite some time ricky - after stressing for months as my mum wasnt doing as she said (ie. getting the bridesmaids dresses) i am just like who cares - the venue and church is almost paid, my dress and his outfit is sorted, also transport and cake.
His parents threatening not to come - i said to OH who cares its about me and you, we dont need them.

Anyway i hope you find someone to do it Trish
The church officer is also a friend of the family, and she said she would do it for free for me, and then just join the ceremony. I was so glad she offered and i didn't need to worry about it. Its just a few button presses, and im sure it will not spoil it for who ever does the job.its such a small part of the day. (1/4320 of the day - lol)

sh1t. i never thought of that. i too am getting married in a register office and i assumed they staff would be doing it. oops who can i ask? im not having ushers and cant ask my daughter as shes only 8 and we'd probably end up with black eye peas with a touch of girls aloud mixed with hannah montana.

no i know why it starts getting stressful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOTE TO SELF: get of UKB and ring register office - PRONTO.
