    Hello ladies,

Just a general question, I went to the dress shop (all our dresses from the same shop) to do my first bridesmaid appointment. I had seen 2 dresses i loved after my wedding dress appointment. So last saturday 8 of 9 of the girls were there (plus my mum and a couple of their mums my aunties), loved the dresses i had choosen, and had all tried on both dresses and picked which one they wanted all within 45 minutes. The shop assistant was actually amazed she said to me before i left she couldn't believe how easy the appointment was, and she was dreading it when she saw 9 bridesmaids on my appointment note as i had to have the whole floor for fitting rooms. How long or how many appointments has it taken you to choose your bridesmaid/flowergirl dresses?

One shopping trip - we took most of the day as we visited quite a few shops, but ended up buying the 2nd one they tried on. Only 3 BMs for me though, and they're all adults (though completely different shapes/heights/complexion), so not as complex as yours, it seems!

cos the budget is tight and also cos one bridesmaid can be quite opinionated :S think im gonna find it hard to find something that we will agree on

Even if one is opinionated just remember its what you like and think looks good on them in the end that matters.
One of my younger ones can be very opinionated and when she saw a picture of the dress i loved, i had warned her the colour and photo on the website didn't do the dress justice, and she point blank told me she hated it and wouldn't wear it. She saw it in the shop last week and before i had even said it was one they were trying on she was asking to try it on, so the one i thought was going to cause me an issue didn't, and none of the others did either. I thought mine could have been hell, and so did the assistant, but it really was plain sailing.

I only have one adult and then one teen and one baby so its been easy for me. I have a dress maker so the adult is choosing her style and the teen to a certain extent is choosing her style and they are both in the same fabric. The 3 year old is in ivory.

it was 2 appointments, the first one was to try on the dress that looked good on the net, didnt like it on them. So made another appointment to try dresses on, this was were i decided that having two adult bridesmaids, it was probably easier to let them have a different dress to each other, seeing as they are completely different body shapes. They both loved the idea and we played with a few dresses until we found the right ones. We ordered are they are safely stored until next month for fittings :) xx

Is now happily married to my gorgeous man

it took me one day. I took them to one shop in chester and got some ideas and narrowed it down to my favourite of them. Then I took them to where i got my dress from to show it to them and casually asked one of them to have a look for more ideas but nothing serious as we did not have an appointment. We then found one near identical to the other shop but the quality of the satin was much better and the sparkles were better too..... only prob was they were 100 more per girl, excl als. This would mean 900 but then she turned around and said she can do buy two get one free so we ordered there and then as they were amazing and knew I couldnt do better for that amount of money. This put them at the same price as the other shop but much better quality. The girls loved them as they hide the 'wobbly bits' and really make them look gorgeous. Problem is they now look too gorgeous hehe.... best not outshine me haha x
