I got the FG dresses months ago, the girls chose them and they are lovely but they weren't the ones I wanted them to have. The style I really wanted them to have only went up to age 5/6 (and it went with little Luna's dress) which was great for 3 of them but one of them is really stocky in build bless her. Anyway, Honey's school is doing a dress up day for the Royal Wedding so I decided to get her the dress I wanted my FGs to have and OMG, she tried it on and I had tears in my eyes, she looked so beautiful in it! Now I'm not sure what to do, do I put 3 of the FGs in the dresses we've already got and have Honey stand out (and matching her sister) or do I just put her in the original dress? (that she helped pick)
    HELP!!

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

Why don't you show her both dresses and ask her if she wants to be like her sister or wear the other dress? I don't think either way it would look odd so let her choose.

lol Jo - you've obviously never met my Honey :D She's even more indecisive than I am. I did ask her when the dress arrived and she gave me that odd look of hers and said she loved them both - I'm baffled!!

Then ask he if she wants to look like her sister or the other girls? Either that or if she likes them both then why don't you make the choice for her and put her in the one that makes you cry? Obviously that is the dress you really want her in and it sounds like she isn't going to be upset by it.

I think because originally you let them choose and they chose dresses that you say are lovely...it might seem like adults are taking over like they always do..if you change one now. They must all be so proud that they chose dresses you liked and that they are all happy with. It matters to children to be seen to be clever and get adult approval. How would you feel if someone came along and asked you to chose a wedding dress..you did that and was really proud and happy..and then someone gave you a different one to wear.
    Only my opinion..lol xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I might just phrase the question like that then Jo. I doubt she'd mind whichever dress she wore, just that agony of choice thing lol xxx

I hear what you're saying Ricky. Honey knows I know she's a clever lass and 9 times out of 10 I let her choose things for herself anyway, the dilemma isn't about undermining her choice, it's about us both being ridiculously indecisive where it comes to pretty things, and to be fair, Honey picked both dresses for the shortlist and it's only because the dress I love wouldn't fit one of the FGs that the other one got picked. She knows I approve either way and that her happiness on the big day is just as important to me.
