Favours are just a little gift you have at the table for each guest. If you've never been to a wedding that's had them then save yourself LOTS of money and don't have them :-) They are a bloody pain in the butt!

it's like giving the guests a little gift - some people go a bit OTT and spoil their guests with personalised obscure things like bottle stoppers or bonsai trees (no offense to anyone using these as favours- personally i'd love to receive either!) but they don't necessarily have to be fancy or expensive - my favourite favours are when you get a little bag/ box of sugared almonds or sweets or chocolate because they are good to munch on in between courses and during the speeches! (its all about food!) xxx

I would say favours are the added extra that costs a lot of money for what they are. You think a few pence per box is nothing but by the time you add on a meter of ribbon and some sweets they soon add up! I think if I were to do them again I would go for home made biscuits and ice the guest's names on them to double up as place cards lol.

Favors are...... something I haven't seen at any wedding I've been to, and something I won't be bothering with either :-)

I object to favors ... why do we need to spend all that money on the wedding ... AND then give all the people we've invited a present!?! However I have been overruled - my sister is making boxes and they are also going to be place names, so we are having them, but I've made it clear that it's under duress!

a little gift you put at each persons place setting. They can be something simple like sugared almonds in some tulle, a rose in a napkin or something a bit more pricy like an alcoholic favour with choccy or soaps, candles etc... the list goes on.

cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo
