I don't have all the bits yet, but felt like seeing what it will sort of look like on the day. This is just our dinner table but we will be having long tables like an Alice in Wonderland party but more English tea party in style. What do you think? Was thinking about getting artifical flowers that I can decorate on the outside and be able to wrap the stem around a bar to keep it secure, if you get my meaning, lol. Will be practising a bit more with the centrepieces, really just wanted to see the tea cups and saucers all set out, lol. :) x

I would just add in some small pastel coloured tea lights in the spaces. Looks great tho. Once u have the menu, place cards, favours, cutlery n all the glasses it will fill up.

Thanks! I wasn't sure whether to have floral napkins or plain ones, was worried that it would be too much with all the different patterns on the crockery, but seeing it on the table today, think a bit of colour would be good to break up the white. Thanks for the tip, will have to have a look! :)

The spaces will be filled a lot more on long tables as guests will be closer together, but still need to buy the cutlery, the place cards are doves that sit on the wine glass, need to buy them too! I would love candles but there are a lot of young kids and would can see a fire breaking out, lol, our marquee would go up in flames in an instant! Lol Crocadillo, I am sure your wedding will be much more glam than our little back garden party, am just worried about my toddler smashing something, think I would cry! ;) x

Pink feathers, hmmm thought about it a while back but wasn't sure if it would mix with the English tea party look but will give it a try! Have you thought of having some greenery on the table? around the bidcage maybe? Will brighten it up a little.

We will be having a long table on the day Sijen so it won't look so empty when set up and with wine on the table etc. We are also buying small bottles for each guest with either Pink or Traditional lemonade in it. The youngest children able to sit at the table or in a high chair will be around 6 months to 2 years and will want to be with their parents but we have some older ones from 7-13 so could put them together. Might get some vintage disposable plates and put a cute beaker with a cone of sweets in the younger ones places. But will see nearer the time. Might see a mellamine tea set I like for the kids. xx

:O that looks soooo gorgeous! i would agree with sijen and suggest more greenery but i would say that(green obsessive). i have some lovely white bird ornaments just as home decoration that would look really good with your theme, ill put a link to where i got them on my wall. they are like £3 and £1.50 for small ones. just an idea cause it all looks lovely already x

Yeah if you've got wine and everything else on the table it may get a little cluttered. I think a nice play teaset would be fab for the younger kids at least.
