WEDDING DAY PLANNING CHECK LIST Note: the list is not in any particular order 1. Set your Wedding Budget a) Determine how much you would have or would like to spend on your wedding. b) Decide what aspect is most important to you. i.e. Wedding Venue, Having Fun, Wedding Dress, Wedding Rings, Shoes, Photography, Flowers, Cake etc. 2. Select the month and possible Wedding Date 3 Research Do some initial research on the internet ie Google weddings in Paphos - wedding suppliers – wedding venues Paphos – wedding photographers Paphos - florists Paphos etc. and start obtaining a prices. 4. Contact Travel Agents, collect brochures Collect brochures from travel agents on weddings in Paphos. Look at brochures on the internet from the tour operators and request their weddings in Cyprus brochure. Also look at package holidays to Paphos to see the difference in cost if you want to organise the actual wedding day yourself. Check flight only deals too; you may find hiring a villa less expensive. 5. Transporting your Wedding Attire Ask your chosen airline/tour operator what their policy is regarding bringing your Wedding Dress on as hand luggage. Determine what your luggage limit is. 6. Who to invite to your wedding Speak to your family and friends that you would like to attend your wedding to estimate how many are keen to attend. This will give you a guide when obtaining quotations for wedding venues. 7. Budget If you have are on a tight budget think about having a small wedding in Paphos with close family and friends. Then have a reception back home for everyone else. 8. Select Wedding Attire Wedding Dress Take a look at the weather during the month you plan to marry to help with choosing the right dress, so that as well as looking stunning you will feel comfortable and not too hot to enjoy celebrating your day with your guests. Flights and Accommodation for your guest’s Once you have decided on your date and wedding venue take a look at my mini map at the location of the various hotels in relation to where you are staying. You might want some guests to be closer to you to help on the day or perhaps take care of children. Investigate and select a range of suitable accommodation for your guests. If you are staying in a hotel ask if they will offer a special rate for your guests. Many airlines now fly to Paphos from the UK. There is also an airport in Larnaca which is only around 1.5 hours drive on the motorway (A6). The motorway is very quiet and there are rarely traffic jams. 16.
