someone has just asked me what ideas i have for decorating the cake table..... errrrrrr seemed to have over looked this one!!!

Umm, we are having two wedding cakes so it should be full looking, lol, but we are going to have a pretty vintage table cloth, the cakes obviously and maybe a small coloured topiary tree, or maybe one of my bird cages filled with summer flowers. Not sure really, will have to have a think now, lol.

Yeah my mum is like that - she's all "Got to have a flower arrangement on the register table and the cake table" - I am really not fussed either way and never pay attention to what is on these tables except the bride and groom signing the reg and the cake?
Anyhoo - the person I am looking at doing my chair covers will also pput swags and bows on these tables for no extra charge and they'll match the chairs. She'll also do this for the top table.
Then I was just gonna leave my bouquet on the cake table next to the cake for the added bit of colour.

Have to admit I hadn't planned this either - but I have some burgundy organza I was planning on putting on all the other tables, plus so table confetti, so will probably just do the same with the cake table.

Our florist is putting some greenery around the sides to make like a sway thing but that is all we are doing. I think the cake should be the centre of the attention not anything else. I may put my flowers on the table too but other than that nothing else will be on there.

Oh I could use some of my bunting round the edge of the table rather than organza, that would look nice I think with our theme. Yes think that is my problem solved, lol.

Croc - if your cake is 7 tiers then I really don't think you need anything else on the table lol...
Rose petals or scatter crystals will probably do the job nicely x

I'm hiding fairy lights in the organza wrapped that's being wrapped around my cake table, scattering some rose petals and during the reception I'll be placing my bouquet next to it but thats about it! x

We are having burgundy organza swagged on it with ivory balloons hanging with pull bows. Beside the cake there will be scatter crystals and mt flowers. xx

Our cake is enormous, so that might be enough. I'm dithering over whether to have a 14" bottom tier or to just do a double-thickness 12" bottom tier...
No, in all honesty we'll have roses on the cake and probably petals scattered all around it. I don't want candles anywhere nearby as I've set my hair on fire on candles a few times on special occasions.

im watching some cake table decorations on the bay of e at the moment but not 100% sure yet, they are 2x organza swags, 2x pull bows, and 6x 5in ballons all for £2.99 +£1.41 p+p so not too much too lose if i dont like them :) x
