Ive gone though all the posts and cant find anything on this topic so far!
I want to start losing some weight! I can't afford to join a gym its about £55 a month where i live, I have been looking at wii fit's and the your shape that is also for the wii thay are both cheap to buy at the moment. I would like to try and lose my baby weight my daughter is now 7 months old so i can now start doing some exercises.
Just wondering if anyone has any of these and have you had any luck yourself losing weight!

i not used wii fit in a while but its a fun way of exercising if you cant afford or a gym or too self concious to go out and exercise
not used your shape
but hubby bought me Wii Active 2 for xmas that comes with a resistance band , a leg and arm monitior and a usb stick so your results can be saved and monitored oline etc..its basically your own personal trainer and ive done it a few times and omg its bloody good work out and you would be doing it for 4 times a week and if you continue to do that im sure u will see a difference...i injured my foot so had to stop using it but want to get back to doing it (this game usually £50 quid or £60) but i see on asda its only £30 apparently
also just got Zumba for the wii..cant wait to try it out

I have both the wii and the kinect for xbox. I think the wii is good, but its alot harder to do ( in that you need to make sure you are copying the routine to the T,it is easy to get lazy with the wii and still do well - game wise- but not lose as much weight. The biggest loser on kinect however, watches your shape closly tells you if you are not going fast enough or far enough and i feel like it gives me a better work out.
If you have a wii and are just wanting a game then sure go for it, it will do you more good than sitting on your bum lol. It is good on those wet days when you can't get out.If you need to buy a console get the xbox and kinect (i got it all plus 3 games for £200 - i think) as i feel it gives me a better workout, i dont get a chance to get lazy - ie only flapping my arms instead of doing starjumps. But the best course (personally) is to get out and try walking a minimum of a mile a day(prefably 3-4), and download a good workout dvd (for rainy days or days you are going out for meal and need an extra boost for the extra cals you will be eating) put on some music and start moving :D

I have kinect for xbox and although at the moment i dont have any fitness games i have dance central That alone can be a good workout and there is a mode that you input your details weight etc and it tells you roughly how many cals you have burned off :D
