    Hello,

I'm having a civil ceremony with about 50 people, and I'm not sure what to have as decorations.

I can't have pew ends (as there are no pews!) but want something to dress the room and aisle.

Does anyone mind sharing what they're doing??

    Lauren

I'm only having 40 people at our civil ceremony / reception (in the same venue) so just having chair covers with bows for the room and the company who I am going to book also put swags and bows on the register table, cake table and top table. Others I've looked at do some extra decoration for around an extra £30 so it's worth asking them.

Oh and was just going to use my bouquet for decoration on the cake table whilst the reception is going on...saves on buying flowers for the tables which I don't want.

Do you have any photo's of the venue room? Also what do the chairs look like as you may be able to hang something on the chairs either side of the aisle?

my florist suggested tea lights along the aisle - I like the idea, but I can;t walk in a straight line so I'd end up on fire!

My sis had chair covers and bows, she also had a hand painted aisle runner that tied into their Cinderella theme. (had a carriage and everything on it)

I'd love candles, but I'm scared of my dress catching alight, or knocking one over. I can just picture it, instead of being all romantic as I walk down the aisle there's just a big commotion as my bridesmaid comes at me with a fire extinguisher!! xx

oh yeah, we're chairs with covers and then the will be moved to the reception room while we're having photos and drinks. Maybe some organza somewhere or fairy lights?

Ha ha - how funny would that be (not at the time obviously!) It's one of those scary comedy moments.

You could always scatter the aisle with rose petals (if they'll allow it!)

Because of the shaped shoulders of the chairs in your album (not the round top ones in the conference room) you could probably hang/fix some light pew end-esque things on the chairs by the aisle?
I like the candle idea too - you could get some pretend ones in nice coloured holders?
    xx

Our registry Office is arranging the Decs for the room...
we have been told it will have red flowers, (to match our colours) and will look lovely.

we get to see them on the day, however i think I for one will be oblivious to whats in the room, i will
only have my eyes on one thing... My H2B lol
