I totally wasn't going to do the American style garter toss, but G and I are planning to have a semi-joint hen and stag day/night. We'll go off and do our own thing and then meet up at the end of the night.
I'm wondering if it could be kinda fun to do the bouquet toss and garter toss as a silly game at the hag party when everyone's drunk and there's more potential for amusement. It'd be a rubbish garter and a plastic bouquet rather than the beautiful silk garter and red rose bouquet from the wedding itself, but the tackiness would be in a more appropriate place.
For those who aren't familiar with the American version, the bride throws her tossing bouquet to the single girls; the groom then removes the bride's garter with his teeth and throws it to the single men; the poor sod who catches the garter then has to put it on the girl who caught the bouquet... with his teeth! I like the UK bouquet toss, and will probably do a version of it, but I think this version has potential for the hag party.

I have a game I will be doing it is a French tradition during the wedding: It is a game to win my gorgeous Ivory French lace and burgundy satin ribbon garter here are the rules: The bride goes to centre of room and has to auction her garter. Men pay so the bride lifts up her dress or garter and women pay so the bride lower it down. After a set time (not long, 10 min max for example) the man who auction the most will win the garter and has to take it off her leg, traditionally with his teeth, but that will be subject to my decision.

but im up for the good old bouquet toss!!! Im going to get a smaller bouquet to toss as i want a huge shower bouquest (and i just cant toss that one) xxx

were doing the garter things.....h2b takin it off with his teeth n tossing it 2 the men but they arnt puttin it bk on any1 else.........n i he a single flower same as bouquet flowers to toss. x x

me n ry were talking about this last night and he wants to do it at the wedding reception lol i can just see my grandparents faces at me holding up my dress n ry trying to get garter off with teeth!!!
hahaha!!! lol that gona be sooo funny!!! And i want to toss a bouquet but not too sure if the budget will allow this as yet!
