    Hi Ladies

I was a bit disappointed to find out that we won't have room for a long top table for our wedding breakfast and will need to have a round one. Is anyone else doing this? It's not the end of the world, but it's not what I pictured. I suppose at least no one gets stuck on the end :)

I'm not actually having a top table as there's too much politics involved, but you can have whatever you want for your day hun if it's round it just means no one's stuck on the end or awkward conversations xx

Yeah - I really have to have my stepmother on my top table even though I'd prefer not to, but it's easier to forget people are there on a round table because you see everyone! x

you don't have to have your step mother on the top table if you don't want hun, it's your day and if people don't like it there's always outside haha

It would upset my dad if I didn't and then I would be upset if he was, so it doesn't seem worth the hassle of not having her. It might sour the day for me and don't want any bad feeling. And she's ok - we just don't really get on and because my dad re-married after my mum died it just reminds me that my mum isn't there if that makes sense? Hope your politics don't get too bad also!! J x

aww hun ((hugs)) am sure if you sit her away from you you'll be fine. My dad remarried and my mum's still a little bitter after 11 years so it's not worth the hassle plus no one's doing speeches at our wedding, well unless you class talking to the floor as an effort lol

I'm doing a round table for us as we didn't want a top table but I can see why you would think it is a bad thing if you had your heart set on it.

We like the idea of a round top table and may even have both sets of parents hosting their own tables. We dont like how everyone else gets to chat etc on the round tables as the long top tables are pretty unsociable if you are stuck on either end!

Hopefully we will be having a round "table for 2" and as we have 8 bridesmaids and they have their own famalies they will be on the tables with them and mixed in with teh other guests, but acting as hosts for that table, if that makes sense. The parents will be on a round table together. That way it will make it a bit more interesting for the speeches when they are given from different parts of the room. x

We're having two top tables, one for all the parents and one for all the bridesmaids/best man & partners.

We r having a round top table too. I want to be able to speak to the people at our table during the wedding breakfast and a long top table is far too formal for us!
I'm sure it will be great Hun

Round tables seem to be a popular option!
