    Hi,

Just wondered where you all got your table plans from and how you're going to display them?

I can't seem to find any that are reasonably priced and that look right.

    Thanks :-)

My uncle is doing mine as well as all my other stationery (at least that's the plan). My venue have a lovely easel that it'll be displayed on.

I've just emailed the venue to see if they have one. We're going to be sticking chocolate bars to it, so it's more the card that i'm wondering where to get it from. Would like a kit but I don't want to pay £100 for one!

My mum is doing ours. I hadnt even thought about how to display it. The easel idea sounds great. Will tell her but knowing her she has already sorted that one out too! lol

Some venues display them in a frame so you may need to check for sizes koodai
If you just want card tweededding you can usually get it cut to size at a picture framers. Some even cut the apertures for the printed sections to be attached from behind

I have made loads of table plans (pics on profile) so have a great relationship with my local picture framer. He has even loaned me easels before free of charge!

Oh I love your stationery! It looks amazing!! Think I'll be going to the framers to get them to help me! Although we need to leave room for the chocolate bars to be stuck on!!

It is cheaper to do them yourself if you can. You can get the card from any good craft store. You want to ask for mount card. When venues say they are going to do the seating plan you need to ask them what they are going to do as I've known some put a A4 bit of paper up with a list of names.

Have a look on ebay to get some ideas but as long as you have a printer and some paper (guillotine would be handy too) they are easy to make.

Thanks Tweed .... I need to upload pics of my favourite ones but the silver with white flowers and crystals was my fave table plan. You can either print out the table details and layer them with corresponding paper and card so you end up with a 'postcard' effect and then attach those with foam pads to give it a 3d effect
    or
get the framer to cut out the apertures but I would recommend using 2 layers of co ordinating card to create more interest.
It just takes time and a good ruler to work out your aperture sizes but if you need a hand let me know! x

It's all sounding a bit complicated, but I know a nice framer in town, so will go and speak to him!
Thanks for the thread reakim84 - will have a go at some point! Plenty of time to get it wrong and do another one!!
