I will send to my parents to show how good (or bad) I am at cardmaking and cause my mum is so far away and loves receiving cards from me, and to my h2b parents as well as MOG is kinda saying I am too early to do things and I am sure her boyfriend/husband will make a snide comment about it (I don't think he likes me) but to make them realize its becoming true :)

Everything is now booked

I think it might be nice for them to get even if they are involved! If they're involved alot like paying for it and they receive an invite through the post without warning they may think you're being ungrateful and just inviting them like any other guest so maybe in that case either give it to them face to face or let them know one's in the post, I know my mum's quite sentimental and that's something she would keep in her memory box so would be upset if she didn't get to have one even if she already knew all the info and was paying! Maybe they'd like to have one to keep = ) x
i did...just a nice little keep sake. i even sent invites to my parents so they had them and they told me not to be stupid! xx
CommentAuthorRachie :D
I even sent one to Rich lol It's nice for them to be involved with everything I think - my Mil was over the moon to receive hers - my Mum took a pile just so she could show her friends who aren' invited lol she's evil! hahaha

We see our parents all the time and all live really local to each other and have close relationships with our parents, but we still gave them a std when they came as they are pretty fridge magnets and they wanted one as well.
And we have one on our fridge too :D

i gave my mum her save the date as she wanted a keepsake, will probably give them both invites too for this reason x
CommentAuthorMrsd
I think its a nice keepsake but when i sent a invite to h2b mum (first wedding) she kicked off saying how dare my parents invite her to her own sons wedding. Because of this iv not done any invites this time...i sent emails and did phone calls.
CommentAuthorXLittleMissMe!X
I did as they like to keep them sort of things and show them off to their friends.

We are doing Save the dates, and even though we know both sets of parents are well aware of the date, we are still sending to everyone. My mum who lives 5 mins away (his don't) and is very helpful with the wedding wants to keep one as a keep sake.
CommentAuthorNetta
We aren't doing STDs, as many of our guests are coming from abroad we have done it electronically tbh (need early confirms for those requiring rooms etc). We are giving/sending out invites (which my sister is making) to everyone.
We are giving invites to our parents that are slightly different from everyone elses to make them feel extra special.
CommentAuthorYourFirstDanceBride
Ours are close and involved and we still sent them, and they were both really touched to get them (well the mums were!)
CommentAuthorSian-Louise
Yeah we will be sending ours to both sets of parents....my mum done a keep sake box when it was my bros wedding, so she will want one to do my keepsake box xx
CommentAuthorVicky
yeah I think so even if it just to say these are what I sent out to people, its keeping them envolved. x
CommentAuthorTotallyLovedUp
i am definately sending them an invite. if it was me and even though i knew i was going i would like to have recieved an invite too, it makes them feel special and not someone who you can save money on lol
