I am building my wedding website which includes a lot of things, one of them is attraction, that's where I need you UK girls your opinion about this traditional French Game:
The winner would get my garter
    Rules:
The bride goes to centre of room and has to auction her garter.
Men pay so the bride lifts up her dress or garter and women pay so the bride lower it down.
After a set time (not long, 10 min max for example) the man who auction the most will win the garter and has to take it off her leg, traditionally with his teeth

Would that be too offensive or funny, auctions don't have to be too much for example we'd put £1 in the flower girl basket.

I would see it as harmless fun. I think it all depends on your guests really. Only you would know if they would find it offensive or fun. If I was a guest at a wedding that did that, I would find it quite funny. If it was my wedding I would be hoping that my h2b has deep pockets so that he was the one that won to take it off with his teeth! lol xxx

Sure that'd be the best but he's not actually allowed to play as it is in order to raise money when it was created it was a way to get honeymoon fund and originally that's how some guests give you money "present" for me it's an occasion to show off my lovely garter :)

Might be nice to do it for charity but could not do the taking off with the teeth bit! Maybe the groom could take it off and hand it over?

I understand, if your h2b is happy with it too I see no problem. If I had to let my brother in law take my garter off with his teeth, I think I would have to be completely p issed first tho and possibly anaesthetised....maybe with a lump hammer...but then you haven't seen my brother in law...ewwwww. Good luck with it hun, your day your way!!! xx

Taking off with teeth is the tradition, but I don't have to do that, it will depend on who wins, for example if it is one of my exes I will not allow that and h2b would be mortified if I allowed it

thanks Kye, and even if we are in UK it will give my French side a feeling from France and our traditions, as doing it here we loose a lot of traditions :)
