Ladies i am just reminding and hoping to give some people a kick up the butt to get anything they are worried or concerned about checked out.
REMEMBER to check weekly if not daily your breast,
REMEMBER to go for regular smears when you have to. dont be scared or worried or embarresed, 5 mins of uncomfortablness could SAVE YOUR LIFE.
REMEMBER to check moles for change of colour size shape.
REMEMBER to check your stools occasionaly for blood change in toilet habits.
the same goes for your mum, friends, aunties talk about it dont let it be a tabboo subject, and your husbands, h2b's dad's brother's uncles, friends tell them to check there parts regulary.
we need to stop been embaressed and scared of talking about it or fetchin the subject up. do the opposite talk talk talk and talk.
sorry if this is a bit depressing but people need to be aware!!!!

since my bo*bs came in age 10(i was an early starter) i have been doing this, when i was 16 i insisted on regular smear tests early as my great aunt died of cancer, my mum, nan, and 3 aunts have all had it. my sister is our little miracle as mum was having treatments not knowing she was pregnant! my sister was and still is perfectly healthy!
Find out who you are & do it on purpose!

AGREED!
I dont mind sharing, but I am currently under GOSH (yes I know it is the childrens hosp, it made me giggle too) Cancer Genetics Team.
The first thing that they told me was this, "all of us here have trained for many years, but we can never know your body the way you know it. The best "doctor" in catching things early is you. Now go get to know yourself" ;-)
In Wales you get invited for a smear when youre 21 (or at least you did back then Im 27 now so its been a while and things may have changed)
any way I never went. Couldnt find the time - and just didngt think it was important.
i got together with H2B and we got on to the converstation about it some how and he was shocked that I had never been and MADE me go and get one. I was 25 at this point. and yes I had CIN 3 cells. CIN 1 is the less harmful and you have CIN2 and then CIN 3 is the most harmful before announcing it as Cancer - or at least thats how it was explained to me.
I have had to have a small op where they remove the cells from the cervix (its an outpatient job so its not too bad) and I have had to have about 5 check ups at the hospital since and thats in 2 years!! . Ive only just been given the all clear and now will have to have a smear test every year for the next 10 years!!!!
Perhaps if I had gone when I was 21 I wouldnt have had CIN 3 and Imagine if I had not gone at all!!!
