anyone sick of hearing this from H2B??? Whenever I ask him something, like how many people that are coming on his side are tee-total, or is he wearing a 3 or 5 button waistcoat, or what home-made sweet things to put in our (far too big) favour boxes all I get is "we can sort that nearer the time" or "we can think about that nearer the time"
I swear if this wedding was left to him he would try to arrange it all in a week, cause he would seriously think thats plenty of time! He thinks our wedding is still a long long way away... and it isnt. Is it???
yes I dont need to know EVERYTHING now, but I am the kinda person who likes everything worked out, and as our drinks package is £23.15 per head, if there are 4 tee-total guests that a fair bit of money we have to play with!!

They just don't get it do they. I had this a lot, he is now pulling his weight more although he is in charge of hiring sound equipment as we aren't having a dj and he still hasn't done it aaaarrrgh it drives me mad xx

my H2B is still the same know hun, i keep getting "oh we will just have to see" like things are magicaly going to organize them selfs, so i just sorted it all myself, and when he asked if there is anything he can do i then tell him xxx

you need to exsplain why you need to think about these things now bring out the fact that the longer you have to plan and the better idea you have of what you want the more you will be able to save money and get the best deals. doing this in a rush cost more in the long run

yep im getting it already and my wedding isnt for anothre 2 years, but seeing as we are paying as we go, we kinda have to get ur backsides into gear and get on with it grrrrr men!!!! i swear they are clueless about this kind of thing!

yep I tell him all the time that we are saving a fortune cause I am shopping around and doing the best i can to save money and not just pointing at the first thing I see and saying "i want that". He has no idea how much we have to organise, I even showed him the brides checklist on here, and he did say "bl00dy hell" when he saw it, but as with everything it went in one ear and out the other as he seems to have forgotten again.

We have 5 weeks to go now and its just got to the point where we are 'nearer the time'! At last N2B is realising its just around the corner! So dont give up hope just yet but be prepared for the same comment to be heard over and over until you are a few weeks away! x

I have exactly the same.....for months i was pestering H2B about sorting his suit out for the day asking what he wanted to do and he finally decided in February that he wanted to hire it through the chapel........now if he'd told me this earlier i would have hired mine too as you can get both the tux and gown for $300, but as he dragged his feet i went out and bought my dress!!!
Keep asking him about wedding reception when we get home and he will not give me a definative answer.....think i'll just book somewhere myself and if he doesn't like it tough.
Then i've been asking what he would like to do after the ceremony...........his response was, do we have to do anything? Err yes, we do!!!!!
Its like getting blood out of a stone getting an answer from him.
He did exactly the same last year for my friends wedding, for months i'd being banging on about getting trousers and shirt sorted, but he kept putting it off, then when we came back from holiday 4 days before her wedding, me full of cold and not very well he STILL hadn't sorted anything, so my sister and i went and bought what we thought he would look good in, right down to his shoes and he had no say in it at all!!

Kev was like that last year but as soon as the new year hit he realised that he needed to get his butt into gear as time is ticking. He has been great bless him and the only thing left to do is for him to get the suits which he will do in a couple of months time (which I don't mind) Were in the middle of making invites and then we get to just pay things off and chase suppliers nearer to the time.

my htb is like that he rarely mentions the wedding then out of the blue ill get a email of a car he likes or his favorite being the banned list which so far is quite long. its anoying when you want an idea of prices and all you get is told nearer the time how can you budget for something if you havent got a clue what they want? x

arrrgh my h2b is the same but to him 80 days is still loads!!... said to him before did you pick the reading from the list i gave you when you went to italy ( 5 weeks ago) his answer no ... doesnt need to be done yet.... cue the biggest epic bridezilla moment ever... i near burst blood vessels and my eyes near popped out h2b said there was smoke too!!
i nicely loudly and sternly said including many swear words ... that it 80 days to go... and how i have to show said reading to registra to make sure they are ok then design and produce and order of service x50 as well as printing them out and mounting them ... so it would be flipping nice if he could pick 2 out of 5 reading in the next 30 secs before i cancel the whole thing and run away and leave him with all the wedding crap to deal with ....to which he replied 1 and 4 baby!!

i can beat u all lol.................my h2b hasnt even told his grandma/auntie/uncle/cousins or friends about the wedding..............................and i dont just mean he hasnt told em the date i mean he hasnt even told em weve booked a date!!!!! lol
i need my final numbers 4 chair covers in 2 weeks........all my sides been invited for a month!!! with 9 weeks to go if he dont crack on n sort it soon he'll have a very empty side of the room!!! x x x
