Hey everyone just wondered if it would be bad luck to throw one of my bms bouquets instead of my own cos im having silk flowers and wanted to keep my bouquet so dont want it getting spoiled when i chuck it and dont want the person who catches it to think they can keep it lol what are everyones thoughts on this????
Second thing is anybody leaving their reception before their guests leave or are you staying til the end cos not sure what me and h2b should do was thinking of staging some pics with photographer that look like we're leaving but not sure wether we should party til the last song or bugger off early lol
im staying till end i think,or until i fall over lol x

I dont know about point number 1 but i would think it would be ok as long as your bm agreed!!!
As for point 2 as we are staying at the hotel I will be staying till the very end!!! xxx

yea im really not sure what to do im paying for all the flowers so my bm will have to put up with it lol but just really dont want my flowers spoiled x
We will be staying till the end, I'm not paying all that money out for a big party and leave the guests to enjoy it all, lol. As for the flowers I am having silk ones too which are not to expensive so I am getting two so I can throw the one I use and still have the other one at home I can keep. x

I'm doing a cheap plastic version of my bouquet to throw (mine are real flowers that my mum will be making), so I don't see why throwing a fake is a bad idea if you want to save your real one.
As for leaving early, the h2b and I are hardly party animals and I will have been up since 7am. I certainly am not staying until midnight- especially when breakfast is being served early and we need to leave the venue the next day by 10am. I need my sleep.
Plus its traditional for the bride and groom to leave early- usually to go on their honeymoon. Besides, better an absent bride than one who's fallen asleep in their portion of wedding cake.

Good idea for spare bouquet to throw as I want to keep bouquet, I am going to try and make my own bouquet with flowers I will grow from my garden (or let's say pots) but could get a cheap artificial one to throw. I am going to stay till near the end at least, I am a real party animal and need very little sleep at the moment my average is about 4/5 hours a night. I will enjoy the party as much as I can as it is my day and I'll be the official translator between my family and everybody else.

Yup I agree with the leaving early that it was tradition that the guests would see them off on their way to their honeymoon so you just stay as long as you want to stay. I would say get a spare made if your bridesmaid wants to keep theirs but if they are not bothered about keeping them throw that instead to save you some money. I'm not going to throw mine and I'm not paying out for another one when I only have 5 unmarried guests.

I heard it was bad manners to leave before the bride and groom so I dont think you need to stay if you dont want to. We're staying at hotel so will probably be at the party until the end... I cant wait! x

might leave at like half 11 if the dj stops at 12 just so they can wave us off to our room which is across the road from the reception lol x
im staying the night so i'll be the last to leave im not really a late night person but for one day i can make an effort, as for the boquet, im throwing my bm's too, i am having mine pressed so i dont want to damage it and her will only get left behind knowing her so why not. x

We will be staying till the end because we and most of our guests are staying at the venue overnight anyways. As for the flowers, i am having artificial ones and will be having a smaller version of my bouquet made to throw. x

Im buying a cheap ten pound one from bhs to throw I think. And in the evening no matter how tired I will be, I will deffo be the last one standing. When all the guests are gone I will probs be at the bar at one in morning with the guests staying with us at the hotel and having a nice quiet drink :) xx

I will be having a spare flowers to throw. I dont know where i am going to put them all day though. LOL (cant really walk around carrying two bouquets) Was thinking of booking me and martyn into the hotel aross the road from the venue and staying there with our guests. LOL will need someone to get me out of my dress martyn will have no clue how to undo a corset he struggles with zips

We are staying the night because after spending so much money and time...I would like it to last a long time, plus, my guests are making so much effort to come even from oversees, I can't leave them hanging! Its should be the longest evening party, and a daay to remember. For the bouquet, throw fresh flowers...that gives good luck. the silk one you can keep....win win situation. You can carry both at different times during the church and the reception for example.
