Your hearts will build up over time as you gain points (there are more details about this on the forum rules thread in the stickies) and once you reach 5gold hearts you gain power user status meaning you unlock a load of benefits (again details in the rules thread)

Oh and if you cant wait to gain power user status you can buy it for £2.50 a month or £20 a year.
Also in case you end up wondering this too lol. You may notice people have little name tags alongside their hearts. You get those when you earn 3 gold hearts
