Getting hitched in CofE Church so I understand the banns process (getting read out 3 sundays in a row about 3 months before, which lasts a year from last reading)
HOWEVER,
Do I still need to inform the superintendant registrar ???? and if so when

I thought I read somewhere that you didnt need to do the banns now - maybe read that wrong x as for the registrar, I think you need 15 days prior to the wedding unless you've been married before and it needs to be longer? x

banns application can be filled in at any time but will only be read 3 sundays in a row 3 months before your chosen date and then will last 1 year from last reading
the 15 days before is the registrar thing but i read that you may also need to inform them even if at CofE....this is why am confused lol x

I think you do - but your vicar should tell you. Our vicar has said that we need to attend a few time too. I would ask him / her xx

I think you do as you still get your marriage certificate from them dont you? x
my vicar just mentined banns, don't really have to attend either since were associated to the church and go now and again - but he knows the surname so we just went along with it haha

I get married in a church and I have no idea what I have to do lol hopefully the vicar who's doing my ceremony is in church on sunday when I go to service so I can discuss it all with him. I have a marriage prep session to go to in march though
All of my dreams come true the day I married you, Mr Walker

Hey Kate, no you don't need to give notice as well - your banns are the religious equivalent and still legal! Also, our vicar said that the banns were read within 3 months before the wedding date *because* they're only valid for 3 months.
Now, finally, Mrs Riley
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
