For the 3 pageboys and 2 bridesmaids that I have, I have decided to get them a selection of gifts. The girls are sorted so have a Angel Pin, Bridesmaid memory book, personalised teddy, camera, lip gloss, smelly gift set, souvineers from the wedding, pretty purse and some chocolates ect. My quandary is that I have planned to put the gifts in Jute Bags which have been personalised - seen them on the bay of e - any way I'm really struggling what design to ask for, I think she'll pretty much have a go at whatever I ask, the one she has done already has footprints on and a name/dob - obviously meant as a newborn gift. Now I'd like them to be able to use them again after the wedding but I also want them as a memory of the day. I did think about having the date written on the underside, but I'm struggling what design to go for on the front of the bag... does anyone have any ideas please as even though they are my kids I'm at a complete loss!

Yep, a possible, I just thought I'd try to make them more personalised, thats all. I have seen some lovely tags too

what about putting their names on the front so they would look good in their rooms and either a tag for the date or the date on the bottom like you said. Or even their name on the front and a heart and wedding date on the back so they could choose which way they have them turned around when on show?

do you have a theme at all? flowers/hearts/butterflies etc. If you have something like that reoccuring through your wedding it would be a memento of the day but also usable afterwards
Do you have a set style on the invites etc? I'm using the same paper, ribbon and design to make mine up with so everything matches.

I've tied gold roses into the the save the dates and invites, ive styled the theme around ivory, gold and browns, but i dont have any set design, I was wondering about hobbies maybe? Not sure how to tie gold roses into the boys bags.....

It depends on what kind of roses they are and how big they are. You could wrap some ribbon around the sheet of paper that can be attached by either glue or sewing it onto the bag and the weave the roses into the ribbon or you could have them attached to the handles? I've got some pics in a book but can't upload them to here as I haven't got my scanner at the moment.

how about the gold roses on girls bags and rose stems with thorns on for boys, without the flowers? could work as a border around a picture or something

Well after a long think about it I opted for their hobbies on the bags with their name accross the top above the picture and our wedding date on the underside of the bag as a momento. I thought this way they could be used as bags after the event. The lady I bought them from has been really good and patient with me and I'm very excited about receiving them.....
