Im not getting married until December, however alot of our main planning has been done, just wondered when should i be looking at getting wedding insurance? And where have you girls got yours from? What does it include?

You should get it now!! As soon as you start spending money you can't afford to lose if anything were to go wrong you should get insurance!! We got ours from E and L... as we found it covered pretty much everything for the best price x
Now Mrs Cobb!!!!!! :-D

I haven't got it yet and I get married in November and pretty much everything is booked and I've paid money out. Everytime I think about it I forget 5 minutes later so today's mission is sorting out insurance!
All of my dreams come true the day I married you, Mr Walker

Hi
I am looking at wedding insurance and just wondered if any of you have personal and public liability? Also I am hoping to have a marquee and wondered if I should take extra cover for this? I would have thought that if the marquee was damaged that the venue would claim off their own insurance? Or would this cover be if any of my guests damaged the marquee? It's very confusing
I love my lickle Ava

E&L do liability and marquee :) think its a bit extra for the marquee insurance but yes I'd think you would need it? For the sake of a couple of pounds, better being safe that sorry! xx

As a rule you get wedding insurance as soon as you put down your first deposit. Most insurance companies don't let you book it if it is two years before the wedding date though. I found E&L to be the cheapest too. The one thing you do need to check though is that if you have any medical conditions you are covered for them. Say if you are asthmatic and you have an attack on the day meaning you can't attend your own wedding they may not pay out if you haven't already warned them. Luckily for me they have still covered me with my medical conditions and it didn't cost me any extra but it is worth making sure you check this all out before hand.

Oh and as for personal liability yes you do need it. If you check your venue contract you will find that the bride and groom are responsible for any damage caused by a guest so if one decides to get drunk and damage something its you that gets the bill. At least you are protected with the insurance then. Its the same for if one of your guests gets hurt on the day. They can claim for damages through the insurance rather than suing you.
