Hi girls, would love your help.....

I have uploaded a picture of the inside of my venue which shows the chairs provided....do you think I need chair covers with saches?? OR do you think I could get away with not covering the chairs.....

Let me know your thoughts please....

    Much appreciated xx

Hey hun, the pictures are a little fuzzy so kind of hard to see...however what I can make out is that they're gold (this isn't something me or h2b would like) however they don't look like they need covering :-)
Have you seen the chairs in person? could be a good way of saving some pennies :-) x

hey hun. from what i can make out the chairs seem pretty nice so may not need chair covers. it would save you ££s by not having them but its personal choice really. xx

in my opinion it depends on the chairs, we weren;t going to have them but then we looked at the venue set up without them and it didn;t look very nice as the chair colours didn;t match out colour theme therefore we are now having them

Will have to go n check out chairs in my venue... was thinking about covers, but they are too expensive, might go for a bow, or nothing at all.

I def need chair covers at my venue, the chairs are lovely and nothing wrong with them but they are red and black and my colours are midnight blue and white lol!

I think they look lovely how they are. Unless chairs are really bad, then I think you should leave them as they are. We are at ours, but did consider them for if we had somewhere with horrible chairs. I don't think people will take too much notice with what else is going on and once they are seated :) like everyone else says save the pennies to spend elsewhere.

I have a question ladies. The chairs at my venue are slightly taller than average so 'standard' chair covers don't fit, but the stretch ones do. Problem is I prefer the linen ones...

    So do I;

    a) Have linen ones with a gap at the bottom or,
    b) Go for the lycra stretch ones, which I am not 100% happy with although they fit?

    Any opinions welcome :o)

i would always say go for chair covers. if I walked into a wedding and the chairs were bare my first thought would be "oh, no chair covers" and then i would look at the centrepieces. I dunno, it just makes the wedding decor for me.

I dont like the lycra ones either, apart from the fact that a stiletto heel could go through them too easily and you would get charged, they just dont look as good.

i hate chaircovers they remind me of douvets ... i really didnt want them at my wedding and considered hiring in different chairs... the same price per chair as a chair cover ... or even seat pad covers .... but my venue... the chairs are massive high back have blue seat pads and look a tad battered on the back ... so hiring chairs in wont work as the tables are higher than normal and the seat pads are no removable.... so i have had to have chair covers :~( and at £4.00 per chair robbing gits ... im not having sashes as i hate them aswell were just going to have on each chair maybe a ivory band or some flowers on the aisle side chairs for the ceremony which can be used later for the evening to decorate the dj stand

sorry thats just my personal view of chair covers... dont hate me

Tinsel - personally if it were me, I would prob go with the linen ones and have a gap at the bottom. When people walk in and are sitting their eyes will he drawn from the table up, so most wont even notice the gap. so long as its not a huge gap!

yep me too. I think it really pulls together the colour scheme. We are having alternate purple and silver sashes, and currently trying to decide whether to upgrade from Organza to taffeta for an extra 50p per chair! (only having 50 chairs)
