I'm stuck, don't know what to get them. I want to get them something they can keep but I don't want to spend more than £10 on each of them. I've looked at jewellery but can't find anything my MIL would like. Any ideas? xxx

But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

What about a little trinket box for her or something like that instead of jewellery?

I only have my mum to get for as my MIL2b has decided her leg was poorly in january and therefore cant come to the wedding (the logic is astounding lol) I have seen some nice candles that have poems on them from the good old auction site. But am sure there must be plenty of other things that can be personalised just for your mum and MIL2B

I've got the MIL two six pences. They are each from the year her mum and dad were born in so have a sentimental meaning to her. It will mean more to her than if we were to get her a bunch of flowers etc. H2b and I also have one each from the same years that we are going to keep too. Hopefully they will bring us luck and wealth lol.
Awww Jo thats such a nice little gift.. can see there being more tears at your wedding other than you and H2B LOL
I am also stuck what to get, My mum has helped no end with the wedding, ie financailly but the MIL2b hasnt offered anything.. (yet) and dont really think she will cos she keeps sayin to H2B i help in your first marriage.. So i dont know what to get.. Flowers die, so i wont be getting any for them...i wanna get something i know they will love.
MIL2B is into Art.. she loves to paint so i think ill be getting her something to do with that.... and my mother i was thinking of something to do with Birds as she loves them... xx

I think it is always nice to get something personal. I've also seen some hankies on ebay with the wedding date on and mother of the bride/groom. As there will be tears I think its a pretty nice thing to get them and they are only about £3.00 so doesn't cost the earth.

thats a good idea jo my parents both use hankies (old fashioned type!) all the time h2b parents are a bit younger and arent like that so i'm still unsure for them! xx

I'm making my own boxes for the sixpences so I can put her name on it and thank you etc. I'm going to get some satin to line the box that they go into etc and decorate it up the same as the wedding stationery. I love the fact that the years of them have a significance. If you type in personalised into ebay its amazing at what ideas you can get for other things though.
