My auntie got married last year in a church and we were talking about the how long you needed to go before the big day, she had to for like 4 weekd b4 the wedding which didnt seem bad. I then contacted my church and they told me we have to go every 2nd, 3rd n 4th sunday 6 months before! is that just me or does that seem abit too much? x

we have to always go and be a regular member of the congregation at my chapel or they simply won't marry you there so I think you're getting off lightly! :P

It must be that you have either no connections with the church or you live outside the parish. If either are the case then they are right and it must be regular attendance at least six months before.

I not sure but he does several churches in the area and its annoying coz our church is closed in the first few months of the year as its too cold (its kinda in the middle of a forest and fields) so we gotta go to another church which isnt even the church we wanna get married in. Just seems like if u have a job n work sundays u cnt get maried in a church as u cnt go to all the sundays... they must have ways around it!? I know not many people work sundays but saturday and sunday are the days im busy the most! x

depends on the church. If you really like the church though im afriad you will have to bite the bullet and just do it. It will be worth it in the end.

cant wait to be Mrs Evans less than 3 weeks woooo

Although a couple of my friends got married in churches.
One was about 200 miles away from where they live, but where she grew up and her parents still attend every week - they had do do a whole day on learning how to be married.
The other had to go 3 weeknds a month for three months.
