Because we are so close to our wedding we have been doing we bits of saving. We dont have alot left to pay so thought a little bit extra will do for wee added extras. Well i checked our big bottle banks and was surprised at how much we actually have saved. We both hate £5 notes so when we get them we just throw them into the bank. So between that at the silver and copper jars over 2 weeks we have saved £150. Was dead chuffed when i decided to count them. xx

2 weeks £150.that is amazing!! that is quite a good idea with £5 notes!! i used to save all my coins but very rarely do now tho. think i had best start!! xx

We have learnt a big lesson when it comes to money. Just before xmas we got into a big mess but its sorted now though so we now realise that just because we have money we dont need to spend it. We now only take enough out the bank that we need for that day and if we have any change then we just put it into one of the banks that we have. And then do the same the next day. H2b has even started putting any tip money he makes during the week away as well. xx

that is exactly the kind of thing i used to do! i used to get paid 4 weekly so i would plan what money i needed each week and got it out the bank on a friday. on the thurday night if i had any left i would save it...notes and coins!! i would work out my direct debits aswell and any money left in the bank at the end would be transferred to saving account!! if i ran out of money i wouldnt allow myself to get anymore out!! it does work but know it is harder as i get paid on last day of month so works out roughly 4 half weeks. xx
