I have had a look at all these money poems and altho I think some of them are great I don't think they would go down well with some of my guests! We have just received an invite to a friends wedding and some of my friends are invited and they have been so bitchy behind their backs saying the cheek of them for including a poem...soooooooooooooo..... this brings me to my decision!!
However I still would like to put a piece of paper in with some wording (seen some pretty ones on bayofe that a lady will change the wording) as my invites have already been printed!! I basically just want it to say something along the lines of Some people have asked us what we would like for presents, altho we don't have a giftlist we will have a postbox on the day if anybody would like to get us a gift of high street vouchers blah blah!
Is anyone good with wording and making things sound sickly sweet and polite???? If you are could you be really really kind and maybe help me with this?? I'm not very good at nice things like this! I really don't want to offend any of my guests!
Thank you ladies in advance! :D xxx

just say that you dont need anything specific, and that their presence is all you want but if they would like to give a gift then money or vouchers would be great..
I think a peom is a lovely idea, not cheeky at all lol

I was always going to use a poem but since receiving the invites from my friends wedding and seeing peoples reaction, I wouldn't want anyone to feel like they 'had to' give money to me and H2B!! Shame really as some of the poems are really quite sweet! xxx

we have decided against poems or even mentioning the gift list with the invitations. Going to leave it to word of mouth when people ask us or our parents. Although H2B's parents aint happy with it and dont want to tell anyone about our gift list! grr
I don’t repeat gossip so listen very carefully!!
