check the venue as to how many you can have on top table. We have three bm's and so had to seat one on a normal table as couldnt accomodate... turns out thats what she expectred anyways so thats lucky.

We are having me, h2b, bestman, moh, my parents, his mum but his dad may not even be coming let alone sit at the top table so our son is sitting in his place and our daughter will be in a high chair at the end of the table. Both our parents are divorced so we are having 2 staright side tables where they can sit with the rest of the bms, ushers and pageboys. x

It was easy for me, iv got quite a big group of close friends but iv been best friends with my moh for 17 years, a lot longer then the rest and we've been through a lot together, all the rest atomatically asumed she would be it anyway so it was fine x

my 2 bestest friends 1 school friend and 1 post school-since college friend and my other bridesmaid is my cousin and our flower girl/young bridesmaid is Ant's goddaughter (but she's like mine too even though it's not on paper) and his godson and our other best friend's son will be too baby pageboys!!!x

I'm going on a round table with h2b and his family then my bridesmaids and pageboys are going on the tables with their OH's and parents etc. I don't want to be center of attention and will feel more relaxed that way. Because the bridal party is scattered on the tables it will help to make the other guests feel more important too.

We're having us, my 3 BM's, his BM and Usher...no family! Too many politics involved! We're also planning on having a 'Partners' table for all the husbands/boyfriends/wives/girlfriends of the people sat on the top table!
I think you should have whoever you want sat with you -it's your day after all!!

I have the table names picked but I don't know who's going to sit where yet. I could do the alice in wonderland layout but then I can't have my table names which I've fallen in love with. My MIL2B suggested we have us 2 and the best man and CBM at the top table. My parents divorced 20+ years ago and my dad has his longtime gf of 16 years (all 3 of them get on great though). I like the idea of the parents sitting at a table together, I do not like however all the kids at a table (as H2B suggested lol)

i am glad i saw this thread i was wanting me H2B, my oldest son (giving me away), my daughter (bridesmaid), my other 2 sons (ushers), my MIL, my FIL, bestman and maid of honour. but thats way too many. i also don't want a top table i want to mingle with other guests but not sure if this would look right ha ha

Im planning on having me, h2b, maid of honour, bestman, bridesmaid, usher (my brother) i think. Our folks are divorced so we'r going to be putting them on their own tables to host with family for the meal. Im sure it will all go out the window during the evening

I'm undecided on the top table thing. Because a top table is traditional, I was originally thinking MOH, son, MOB, FOB, me, H2B, MOG, FOG, Bmaid, Bman but MOH & BM both have young families and might like to sit with them. I like the idea of the bridal party being spread out hosting different tables too. I'm not going to overthink it though - it's only an hour and a half really where they'll be asked to sit somewhere, the rest of the time they can sit where they like! x
