I have been told that the latest i can order the bridesmaids dresses so that they are here in time for the wedding and to have alterations done is 10th march, so that's just under 4 weeks away, the problem is i've searched and searched and i can't find any that i really like at a reasonable price. . . Am i being too fussy, should i just get some that i've thought are o.k? HELP!!! Xxx

Some time we get an image in our mind of how things should be.... and quiet rightly so!
But it does make it harder on us to find the perfect dresses ect.
Take a step back, look and talk to your bridesmaids. A comprimise might be staring right back at you.

You can pick up some fantastic "off the rail" dresses! That will not need any alterations so dont panic yet LOL

Life is like a winding road that we travel alone, along the
way we meet many people, some of them hinder us in our
journey and some aid us but no matter what
they touch our souls for an eternity.

I've looked in most high street stres yes. And yes my bridesmaids have seen one they like but i'm not sure, they are both only 13 and the dress is very grown up, plus i really don't like it anyway. . .Arggghhh!! Do Monsoon have a website? i haven't looked there yet. Xx

yah monsoon does have a good website - and some nice dresses sometimes but i think they are way too expensive for a 13 year old girl - they will never wear it again whereas a grown up bm would. there is also a coast sale website - but more for women than girls.

bhs does do a good collection of bm dresses for teenaged girls and younger.

my bm dresses are 185 from dessy - it is the ONLY dress that suits their 3 different shapes and sizes. i got 10% off by ordering from the shop i got my wedding dress from.

a bit steep, but i get my sisters shoes for £6 instead fo £50.

I will post a link on my wall for a lady that makes them made to measure and has her own UK shop. I met her at my venues wedding fayre and her clothes are so well made. It depends on what style you want but her most expensive is £150 which is for a long dress with lots of detail and work done to it. The kids most expensive is £70. She is based in the midlands but may still be worth you paying her a visit and she does custom made to you so you are bound to get what you want. My adult is having an evening gown she can wear again then she is doing my 10 year old a dress in the same fabric but suitable for a child.

there is another lady like this - best dress 2 impress - i can't remember the link but she mades up copies of designer dresses, but changing at least one detail so it's not copyright.

she does mostly wedding dresses but has done bridesmaid dresses for around £100

i think she only does adults dresses though, and she doesn't make waistcoats or cravats
