I would have if they did promotions/relegations every year, we lived in the UK or the games were shown on Sky Sports 1 or 2.
Instead I just get the Six Nations.

We had a narrow escape actually... In the RL Championship each team plays two games on Saturday- the ones against Toulouse (so obviously Toulouse plays the majority of their games on Saturday). Halifax vs Toulouse away was... the week after the wedding. Sooooooo close.... we would have had no ushers probably.

one of my h2b's friends got married and they all sat in front of the tv at the reception waiting for the footie results to come in, good job the bride was a massive footie fan!
Think I've picked a safe date to get hitched as there's hardly ever a match on a thurs...

Fortunately the only football I lose h2b to is the World Cup. Other than that, he never watches it. However he's a huge gamer, and often spends all night playing EQ2 (like WoW) with guys in the US, and crawls into bed after I get up - LOL.

I used to love watching Liverpool play, now I cant stand it! H2B is such a sports freak he will watch ANYTHING! I went to my 1st football match last weekend and hated it, ended up sat downstairs while h2b finished watching the game, so much for our romantic weekend away :P Im hoping to god there wont be anything on on our wedding day! football, cricket, tennis, rugby, darts, snooker you name it he will want to watch it x

I don't have this problem with rugby league either as we are both huge st helens fans and are both season ticket holders. I love going to games with him and enjoying the atmosphere.
We are both gutted that we are unable to go to Cardiff this weekend but will be watching it on the telly.
However football is a different matter - if liverpool are on the telly - i've had it lol he's glued to the telly watching them.

I lose mine to cricket, football, F1, darts... Any sport that's shown on TV really! Don't mind about the football (love it - even if we do support rival teams!) or the F1, but cricket and darts??! Ugh. Both involve maths - which I'm incapable of. And both are boring. lol. x

See I'm a huge football fan but my other half hates it! Took a huge amount of convincing to set a date outside the season so all my mates could come lol. He still hasnt worked out why the colour scheme is blue and white ;) x
