    You don't usually need one if you the 'audience' has nothing to do

    Somepeople have an Order of Day instead, but again they aren't necessary, just an extra.

    There is a thread on this, there are different ideas, some do, some don't and then there is a welcome to my wedding booklet (I think that is what it is called), with details of whole day not just ceremony....up to you though

    my mum asked the question last night, I hadnt thought of it to be honest.

    My mum said what if we did a5 cards saying 'welcome to the marriage of .... bla bla bla' just so that the Ushers have something to give the guests?! what do you think!?

    Order of service is traditionally just for church weddings as you have to list hymns etc. but you can have an order of the day if you are having readings or just want to give something to your guests as a keepsake. We aren't having anything as we are getting married in Barnsdale Gardens, so just having the ceremony then the guests can wander round all the different gardens while we have some photos done. There will be a marquee for them to gather for drinks and shade but other than that it isn't complicated enough to require any order of anything, lol. x

    each to their own hun!! i was goin to make up a order of day just to let people know of the timings i.e. time of ceremony, lengeth of time for photos aka time for guests to mingle..what time the wedding breakfast..what time reception is etc

    but didnt bother in the end! jus tanother stress to add to the list x
