I had to write about this as it has had me in stitches laughing for about an hour now..
I've been trying to get hold of my vicar for a few days but he's been very busy and I haven't had a chance to speak to him, I rang again this evening and spoke to his wife who gave me his email address (yes he has an email address lol) she told me to email him as he can check it on his iphone..
So I emailed him and had a reply straight back from him answering all my questions and worries, thats obviously not the funny part, what was funny was that he used "lol" "that'll be cool" "ace" and many others things, if I didn't know it was a vicar, I'd think it was a 13 year old!!
I had this from my florist the other week too and she's in her 60's
I love how hip people are these days! haha

Becky- I had trouble getting hold ogf my parish vicar for banns. Turns out there wasn't one and they just had a different one each week coming in. The easiest way to get hold of them sometimes is actually on a Sunday.
Now a extremely happy German housewife and now a Mother!!!!

My H2B was Best Man at our friends wedding last year and their (catholic) Priest was unbelieveably hip and trendy, especially for an Irish Catholic! He was invited to the breakfast do and he even did a speach. Knowing that the groom is mad about star wars, his entire 5 minute or so speech was done in the style of star wars (mainly yoda). Very funny and had all 120 or so of us in stitches!

Dove but we kno the viars there! hes a bit of a 'old style vicar' veen though he is young! rite em and my h2b went 4 our intitail meetin! told us we r livin in sin ( live 2geva 3 yrs now) then said y r u waitin so long to get married i dont like this. and told my H2b he cant do communion til he is married! stared at us for ages and pondered then said yes alrite lol soooooooooooooo scary lol my h2b been goin to this church all his life ( priest is recent to the churhc tho) so we said we wud luv this church due to this then he said i dont care if u hav and if ur eout of my boundary area i wont do ure weddin, i hate doin weddings LMAO luckily we was in it lol then my mate wa sin her meetin wiv him and his landline went off 4 times she said u can answer it but he dint! what u think?

Gosh, that one sounds a bit scary! lol.. I wouldn't worry that he was like that though, they have very strict morals! I'd go to church on sunday and catch him then, you can ALWAYS catch the vicar on a sunday! I'm going to mine on sunday but really needed to speak to him before that.

Really? I'd never heard of them! I'm sure it'll be really useful and h2b said we def need it lol!! Vicar also said at the end of the day he will go over all the details of the actually wedding day so I'm looking forward to it. I'm not worried about anything but the ceremony at the moment so it'll be good to have everything discussed!
