Does anyone know if its possible to have a church wedding on a sunday cos i really want to get married in our local church but the venue that we want is fully booked every friday and saturday from april to october in 2012!!! So Its either a thursday or a sunday wedding that we're having because of the venue sadly and i thought it would eb better for a sunday wedding to have cos then guests will only have to take the monday off work instead of having the 2 days off for a thursday wedding and then having the friday off as well

You just need to check with the church as some do and some don't because of weekly services like mass etc x

I know that if it is in Scotland you can get married in church on a Sunday, not sure about England though. Our local vicar married a couple on a Sunday once because of the date being 10.10.10, but otherwise it isn't common. x

Yeah you can do it in England too you literally just need to check with the church as it is the vicar's discretion if he allows it or not! x

Hmm only problem is that there isnt a proper vicar at the church so trying to get hold of someone is hard also the church is in a little village and so the vicar has 2 churches to look after in the area so he does my local church 1st then goes over to the other church to do another service as its bigger and has room for people to have tea and biscuits after service lol

I am getting hitched on a Sunday. But my Church only does Sundays between Oct and March as teh rest of the year they have "tea and cakes" on Sundays. I think it just depends on teh Church, they all seem to be so different.

Yeah you can get married any day of the week - just try and check with the church - will probably help if your familiar with the church :-) x
