    Hi,

Thinking of changing my wedding date to some time next year.
What is the best month would you say to get married, not before April but not after November.

    Thanks

There is no right or wrong month. Why don't you just pick a venue and see what dates they have spare?

I picked May mainly for the possibility of nicer weather and I love the time when spring turns into summer.

If your thinking of keeping the cost down your better off going for anything from april to may and then october to november lol!! Plus your more likely to have rain in May and June than you are in november december

Between April and Nov, usually the only way to reduce cost is to have it on a weekday. May - Sept I believe are considered the "peak" months for weddings. I got a deal for off-peak in October on a Saturday, but some actually only give off peak deals for Nov-March. It tends to depend on the venues - so shop around, and visit loads, and see what you can find. If you are flexible with which month at the start, they may have times that they are prepared to do a deal on.

Can you not look at weather reports for last year to look at rainfall etc for that month? I can't remember what it was like off hand. Saying that we booked Sept as the past few years have been so nice in Sept then last year (after we had booked) it was pretty crap lol.

I would avoid the school holiday months as that hikes the prices up. Cos I'm a teacher we're getting married on a Saturday in the summer and it's soooo expensive. I guess a weekday may not be as bad though.x

October last year was a mixed months - there were some really lovely weekends. When I went to look at my venue it was October and it was a glorious day, sunny and warm, but other days were pretty wet - but to be honest I think you take that risk at *any* time of the year in this country!!

We picked April 30th because of all the bank holidays surrounding it this year, means I have to take less time off work! And now the royal wedding is giving us a bank holiday the day before its all the better!
