Am I reading this right that the funeral isn't actually happening on the day of your hen night but it is in fact an anniversary of the funeral? It really isn't your fault hun and I know people will always hurt when it comes to close family deaths but it seems she is seeking a bit of attention. xxx

Ok Im guessing the funeral was awhile ago not THIS year?? Personally I wouldnt mind someone having a hen night the day my nan got buried, after all life goes on, and i would be just go out and celebrate BOTH! What does she expect you to do stay in bed that day EVERY year? Or what about if someone in the family has a baby on that day next year, what are you going to do? NOT celbrate it because her nans funeral was that day a few years ago???? Hmmmmm

Btw - My Nana died on the 6th June, her birthday (and my mums birthday) is the 11th June and she was buried on 20th June - we're getting married on the 9th June to honour her. My family think its a great idea.

I agree she is out to cause trouble. How are you supposed to know what went off 6 years ago? Also you can't ask each member of the hen group if they have had anyone die on the date you want to book years ago etc. Its just crazy. I'm not sure how she can demand to check things like that.

KK i was worried about her kicking off at the wedding but i invited her anyway because of her being his sister the same as i have been trying to get him to talk to and invite his brother. But now that is half of his siblings that wont see him get married. what im struggleing to understand is how my hen night will ruin the memory we are going for a meal with my daughters then on to apub for a couple of hours before dropping the young ones home and going on to a club how is any of that wrong every year since i have met her she has spent her birthday on week long benders and thats the day after !!!!!!!

She is a little cow. I can't even remember the date my Grandad died, or his funeral!!! That was 7 years ago and I was really cut up about him dying!!! She is being totally self-centred and I agree with you blocking her now but I suggest you keep all the messages between you two so then if any other family members start, you can show them the proof that it's not you who started this.
