i had no idea how much money could be saved by making your own x after looking up prices of invitations, save the date, favours so on i had a look in hobbycraft and addes up how much it would be to do it all myself..... and the price diffrrance was so dromatic lol x
so iv decided im gonna do it all as hobbycraft seem to have so much stuff that with an imagination you could really save
is anyone else doing this...... or im i being to tight with money xx

If you think hobbycraft is cheap you can get most of the stuff they sell on ebay even cheaper!

go careful with ebay as the thing is cheaper but sometimes adding the postage makes it dearer and if you are buying lots from different sellers it may still work out better from hobby craft. Weigh it all up then go for it - is what I am gonna do with the card I need xxx

Yeah the more you make yourself the cheaper things will be and to be honest I think they look better. I'm making loads for my wedding.
Get ideas from google and then see what you can recreate. Make sure you always buy a few extras just in case you make mistakes

yeah will all depend on tghe price if i was to get it from ebay anyway as its in his acount i order from he prefers the cheap option and shops around (witch is great i guess) xx

An easy one to do is to get some personalised ribbon and stick that around the card and stick on either a feather, butterfly cut out etc and then you can either get a stamp or the peel off stickers. Gatefolded really just need the type of invite on the outside and a ribbon to look pretty so can be very cheap.

I did graphic design so printing mine and just adding ribbon which is dead cheap as can by reels of ribbon for next to nothing. Pics of my designs are on here in my wedding stationery album if you fancy a look x

if you think that Hobbycraft is cheap I would suggest that you go to your local market, there are a lot more saving to be mad there.

Hiya,
I got my cards from hobbeycraft. They were £3.50 for 50 ivory cards and evelopes. They had 3 diff sizes. So I got the largest for my day invites, i got smaller for my night invites and they did a 5" square one which i got for my thankyou cards.
I also got a stamp of a heart, wedding invitation and evening invitation. But they where expensive (around £7). I have since seen cheaper on ebay, so gonna get my Thank You stamp off ebay.
Defo cheaper to make than have made for you or order them from a shop. I think all in, I will have spent around £50-£80. I still need to sort out my order of service but have no idea about that yet. lol.
