Good evening ladies, hope you are all well. Neil and I went to pick up our new car from the garage and I noticed there was a bridal shop up the road (we're new to the area so don't really know what's about). Neil kind of grumbled that I had found another shop but quickly changed his mind when he spotted the spangly red 57 chevy parked in front of it. lol. We headed over and Neil got chatting to the guy. To cut a long story short, we ended up booking him for Neil and his parents. We weren't going to have cars for Neil as we were going to pay for them all to stay in the hotel the night before but the car is going to cost us £450 for the 50 odd mile trip from where we are to our venue which is working out at around the same price as it would cost for the 2 hotel rooms. Plus Neil and his Mum and Dad will have a bit of home comforts to get ready and Neil will be in his element being driven around in one of his all time favourite cars. I felt like Neil didn't really have anything really special for the day (special as in us having our dress etc) so though why not. We were £400 under our budget for the other cars so all in all we're saving money. All is good :) xxx

That is great. I know what you mean though as the h2b has gone out of his way to make my day special and yet insists on driving to the venue in his own car. Little does he know I've booked him a vintage jag ;0)

Aww Jo that is really lovely :) It's vintage jags that I have for me and my bridesmaids and I love them, something different. I wish I could've done it as a surprise but we were all set to book the hotel for the night before so he would've known sooner or later :( xxx

At least he has something to look forward to. I think its great when they get all excited. Kev's eyes light up when we talk about getting married etc and I can't wait to see his face on the day.

Were are you getting your Jags from? I got mine from greatescape and it was £375 for two days hire. Its self drive but that will be right up his street and it was cheaper than booking another Rolls for a couple of hours.

We got them from Ecosse Classics up here in Edinburgh. Costing us £595 for the one day (for both cars), which is extortionate for what it is, but we love them and they are stunning (piccies in my album). That is a fantastic price for your one hun, your other half will be well excited :) xxx

I'm not telling him anything. My friend is dropping it off for him on the day before he leaves for the venue. He has to go and pick his mum and dad up to take to our house before he leaves for the venue so the car will be there ready and waiting. I just wish I was there to see his face. The thing is because he won't see me until we are getting married he won't be able to say anything to me about it until we walk out. He will be made up though that I took the trouble to do that for him and it will just add to the emotion that he will already have. Bless him.

He's still smiling and keeps randomly saying "a 57 chevy!!" lol. He's also majorly excited about the new car so it's motor overload tonight. Oh and it's his birthday tomorrow so he's like a big kid and probably won't sleep all night. lol. xxx

Bless him. Its nice to know that you can make them so happy. You will probably get sick of hearing about it over the next 13 months as he won't care about anything else other than he's getting to marry you and drive in a 57 chevy. When ever he talks about his wedding I bet you that is one of the first things he tells them too.
