Like most couples we are saving like mad. January has been awful as we had to get back on our feet after xmas, but from Feb we should be able to save £300 pcm. Ive still bought little wedding bits where I can in the sales, however Steves worked out Ive spent just over £60 which in his eyes entitles him to spend £60 on a new ps3 hard drive! (Its actually £69.99) Wheres the fairness in that??? He has every console going, tons of games and accessories. Ive not bought anything for myself, just the wedding, but he sees that as "for me" I very rarely buy myself anything as any spare money goes away or on the kids. Peeved to say the least and ready to blow. My time of the month too so he better bring home some ear plugs tonight!
Anyone else's h2b see the money spent on wedding items as money you've spent on yourself??? xxx

Ask him if he is playing the game at the wedding? Your spending money on the wedding which is going towards the both of you and your guests. Tell him he is welcome to spend that kind of money if it too is going on the wedding ;0)

I agree with Jo, there's no justification in that hun, the WEDDING is suppose to be for the 2 of you, if the £60 was spent on wedding bits then its £60 less you have to save. He's just spending for the sake of it x

Can he not part ex his old one few the bigger one? It may save some money on the hard drive, and then ask him for what he has saved towards the wedding x

I don't think men understand the concept of "we are saving up" my friend has taken her other halfs bank card so that he literally can't spend without her say so, although a little tough I bet they end up getting a house quicker than me!

I've found jaffa cakes are pretty good and if you get the minis they are about 25 cals each so it gives you a fix without it being too bad. Either that or the options hot chocs are another good way of getting a choc fix. Totally off subject but hey ho!

Brilliant text .... must remember to do that myself!! H2B is always needing this, that and the other and it's not like they're cheap things either spending up to £200 sometimes..... He threw a hissy fit when I put down a deposit on my dress!! It was £25 (I actually had that in change!) Cheek! He then gets the moody me.... and spends ages being 'nice' to me (which after a bit makes me giggle, but I don't let on). Well if they don't want us to be in a mood then they shouldn't have one rule for us and another for them :) Xx

Mine can be the same... because it's not happening next week or in a time frame his tiny male mind can imagine, he basically doesn't seem to think that spending money on random plastic models is a big deal.

Then he's the one who worries about money and how we're going to pay for things. Men pffffffft.

I can join this club! We are saving for our wedding and a house, both for next year. And every now and then h2b gets something in his head that he would like..new car (nothing wrong with old one and we will get one together when we move in together)..new laptop (not an essential)..ps3 game..etc. I slowly change his mind most of the time haha.

I've been saving every spare penny i have and his brother (one of our ushers) thinks its ok to send h2b emails about cheap games he's seen on the internet when he knows we have a wedding to save for! grrr!

My bloke gets paid weekly on a Friday and OMG by Sunday he rarely has any money left!!! That is because £150 goes straight into my account (£100 for bills etc and £50 into wedding fund) I started the wedding fund in June and I have put away £150 away each month and now Anthony has started putting £50 a week extra into my account that means that the wedding fund standing order will go up to £350 a month (roughly) and that's the way we're saving!

Ant's 34 but spends his money like it's water, like he's 19 and tbh it p*sses me right off!!! I'm talking about putting extra away for starting our family but he really gets defensive and says, that he might as well not get paid at all if we do that!!!

I will be paying for pretty much all of the £30,000 wedding as I was awarded a compensation claim and I have the ability to pay that, but I don't see why I should have to pay for everything for the rest of my life lol

It was my birthday on 21st and Ant gave me £80 (fab) but I would have preferred him to put some of it away!!

*sobs* sorry I needed a rant! xxx

no just because you got the money doesnt mean you should pay for everything what if something ever came up and you needed the money even though were saving for wedding (my mum and dad are paying but we want to save and get them a nice present and give some money back) car insurance £200 a month :@ but we always save as much as we can incase something goes wrong with the car or children need something ect ect
