It is one of the hardest things I am finding, not that there are shortages of companies, but at a good price. The most recent price I have been quoted is £900 for 2 Jaguars for a few hours, can't justify it. Will be decorating one of our cars at this rate, lol. x

I am finding it hard but martyn has found two cars he has fallen in love with but they are a little bit pricey but if thy are the only thing he has demanded we have but wont tell me why and we wont let me email them and see if i can get it cheaper or even have there website as he said it is a suprise.

Well i found a company near me still trading on there website and still had spaces to book the date on there so i thought i would ring them and ask to go and see the cars and they told me they will be closing down at the end of the month and wont be starting up again.

I cannot recommend the car company we used enough! They were absolutely fantastic and they aren't that far away from you Charlie they are based between Bicester & Waddesdon. Will put a link on your wall hun x

I am in Reading and there is only three car companies in Reading otherwise i have to go outside which is more expencive

im lucky that OH friend has a white mk2 jag that we can use, any other cars needed will be "normal" cars. have you asked around family members to see if they have friends or friends of friends that may have a nice car or 2

My uncle said he will drive me if it comes to it which is really nice but he has a normal car. I think martyn has his heart set on the cars he has seen so i think i might have to cut something from the wedding to get them but as long as he is happy i dont mind

No worries hun, if you need any more help let me know. My cake lady was in Leighton Buzzard (she also covers High Wycombe) & flowers in Shefford so a bit further away although they were both fab & may be worth a looksie. Also, have you got your dress yet? There is a lovely shop in Thame! x

I am struggling on my budget too - really wish i knew someone who had a nice car we could use for the day. Can't really afford 2 cars so will see what happens but i need to find something soon ish and get a deposit put down for my date - is quite difficult because some companies will take bridesmaids and mother of the bride and then come back for the bride but they want to charge the earth for it!

Dont laugh but my h2b is the loacal grave digger and his friend who is the funeral director is letting us have a couple of his cars free..he buys new cars every year and they have just come in they are classy black limo things with glass roofs ( not the hearse' honest).!..so what Im saying is maybe that could be an option to look at as I know of other people that have used his cars over the years, so maybe other funeral directors do it too....xx

I'm not even aloud to choose my car! I've seen 3 i really like luckily for the people who are paying for the cars (One of my Bm's and Her Partner who's an Usher) the three cars i wanted aren't available so i've been told i'm having a land rover discovery sport end of! :S i'm grateful as it's something i now don't need to worry about but it'd be nice to be able to choose
my mum said I should go on a motorbike and sidecar! LMAO

I found the bridesmaid limo in the big book of numbers that you get, got that and a rolls royce for £280 and the limo theres only 5 in the uk thought it was a good deal one company wanted to charge me £400+ just for a limo!

The car was actually the first thing we booked hehehe. We saw one at a car show ages ago and said thats the car we would have when we got married :-) One of the first wedding fairs we went to had one ther e so we booked it there and then plus because we are only going one way as wedding is all in one place we got it for half price....BARGAIN!

If I can't find anything reasonable enough we have 4 cars between family etc. that we can dress up and use, or my best mate/MOH works for a racing car company and will most definitely be able to wangle a cool car to get me to the wedding! :) x

I've hired the h2b a vintage Jag for two days and it was £375 with unlimited mileage and he gets to drive it as much as he wants then. It comes from the Cotswold's but I have a friend that will drive it up for us. They have branches all over though so if you want to get him self drive look for greatescape car hire and it will list all the branches they have.
I'm having a Rolls but it was just as expensive to have that for a couple of hours!
