Wedding Forum - Guest book...

Hi all

Is anyone having a guestbook and if so where can I find one at a reasonable price?

All help and suggestions welcome as I am struggling to think where I can get one fairly cheap that looks nice

There are loads on ebay. I know they have ones that you tell them what you want and then they will do it for you

we are having one mum found ours in a closing down sale for a department store

We are having a signing frame too, got it half price of a wedding site, was £50 so really happy that I waited and in the end paid £24.99 for it, fantastic! :) x

Ar G os - have a guestbook reduced from £14.99 to £6.99 ive just reserved one, its plain white with silver rings and ill just add ribbon to match my colour scheme :D check it out :)

I like tyhe idea of the signing frame personally. My brother had a guest book at his wedding and it was barely touched, so if you do have one make sure it's in a prominent place and have your MOH or BM try and encourage people to write in it.

i cant make up my mind lol so i got one off of the bay for a fiver just incase hahahahahah

I got my guest book from ebay as I wanted a plain one I could decorate to match the rest of my stuff. I'm also blanking out boxes so that I can stick a photo of the guests next to the comments they make so when we look back in future we can see what they looked like on the day.

Its cheaper to make your own signing frame. I think our photographer wanted £100 for this but all you need is a nice frame and you can either cut out your own mount card or get a frame shop to do it. I already have a 45 degree cutter so its easy to do myself. You then just stick in a photocopy pic of you guys (as people are bound to draw on it) and let them sign away (as the glass isn't in the frame) All you need to do then is get your real photo and stick it in along side the glass. That will just cost you a couple of pounds for the mount card and the price of the frame you pick.

2 of my friends had one and both of theirs got signed by everyone :) We want one too - another thing to go on my to do list!

we haven't got ours yet but I customised a artist ring bound sketch pad for a friend last year it was really easy to do I mounted a black and white picture on ribbion which was also used to fasten the book. Hard to describe but looked fab! xx

i spent £30 for mine depends on how much u want to pay but its leather and has butterflies on the front wanted to get something that will stand a lot of reading and not fall to bits! il put link on ur wall if i can figure it out there were lots of cheaper ones too!

Bought 100 plain place cards I can add gold trim to myself for £2.99 and am now in a bidding war for a guest book - bay app on my phone will be watched closely - I want my guest book it's pretty :P xxx

My sons doing one for us as a present. He is taking photo's of people as they arrive and getting them to write on cards. He will then put the photo's and cards together in a photo album.

I can't remember where I saw it now (looked at so many wedding websites!) but I want to get a plate for guests to sign, which afterwards you pop in the oven to set the messages. Just thought it was a bit different and as ours is a pretty small affair it'll work well, I think.

could a canvas work as a signing frame?? I can get large canvas' really cheap in buy-ology and could add some decorations myself. just need a good pen for people to write on it with

im planning on getting an A3 ring bound sketch book (sombody else has done same) and customising it. I want one with black pages, as then i can get guests to write notes to us as they sit down, to be stuck in later. I was thinking about putting a postcard or somthing into each place setting, and having them collected up in a large hollowed out tree trunk before the starters arrive. i then plan to leave said tree trunk depoist box by the door of the evening reception, and bully everyone :]
If i like you enough to be at my wedding, you can spend thrity seconds writing on a post card. (Y)

We're not going to bother, people's cards will be enough. We'll save them in a special folder after the event
