Getting married in November and recently started looking at prices for hair and makeup on my big day. Originally said i would just do it myself but after looking at pics of myself half way thru a day or a night out ive realised it wont be good enough and dont want to be looking back on my pics thinking i look horrid. Need to try and find someone mobile as my wedding is a sunday and salons wont be open. Live in North East England. Does anyone have any tips or does anyone local know of anybody reasonable??? :)

mines on a sunday but i havnt looked yet but thing my mil2b has lined up her hairdresser n she has a makeup artist friend but im sure many hairdressers will do work on sundays for cash for themselves may not be able have it done in the salon but that shud make it cheaper!

I can't help for your area but I managed to find a mobile that is doing hair and make up for £30 per person. Trials are also £30 per person for hair and make up but I can't complain when most of them was wanting £60 just to do my hair on the day. I've also seen the work she has done for other people on their big days so I know she does a good job as they have told me. If anyone is in the Nuneaton area then message me and I will send you the details. She will travel a little further to Brum etc if you have enough people that need doing to make it worth her time.

I know it's crazy- I paid for my hair and make up as I was bridesmaid last year and it was stunning and miles better than I could have done; it's worth it (but pricey!!). x

i would look at mobile hairdressers/make-up artists

also look on net mums as they have a section you can look for these in your specific area. you may have to join its free but well worth it! i've found our new "beautician" on there!

hi, i have booked mine this year to get this years prices for next year. Its madness how much they charge but im getting the make up for my BM for £35 pp and that includes a trial and i am having airbrush makeup which should be £70 but i am getting it for £55 inc the trial so not too bad especially when i have looked at what others are charging (£70 and then your trial ontop). OUr hair will be £18 and then £18 for a trial xx
