Looking around at *different* cars to hire, H2B and me came across a car hire place that has a chevrolet impala available (the car from the show Supernatural which we both love). We thought it was out of the question for us as it would be costing us about £1000. But then I found my dress at a really good cheap price and that left a lot in the budget. The problem is that the car would be coming all the way from Wales to Norfolk in December and if the weather is bad I'm worried it might not make it (being a really old car).

    Would you risk it?

Just told h2b this and now hes jealous hehehehe (hes a BIG supernatural fan)

Erm as for risking it H2b says yes (might be a bit biased tho lol) but he said regardless how old it is if the owner is willing to travel with it that far then they obviously think its capable of the travel distance.....so go for it!

I'll put the link on your wall :D When I phoned up, the price depends where the car is and where you are (they have different cars all over the country) He suggested the Dukes of Hazard car as it was near us. I almost bit the poor guys head off telling him it had to be the Impala lol

As for risking it, I'd be gutted on the day if it didn't show up because of snow somewhere, not to mention having to find cars at very short notice lol

I would risk it. I know we've had stupid weather this year but December isn't always snowy and if the weather is going to be bad then a local car may well have problems too. If you really want it then go for it hun.

Just gone over it again with H2B (well tried to) He's adamant on no. I can sort of see his point, it is hell of a lot of money for the sake of an hour but it still would be awesome to have the Impala. I think he's just peeved he and the best man wouldn't be able to cruise round the city in it lol. He mentioned something about the outake where one of the lead characters was sitting on the roof of the car singing Eye of the Tiger and how he would love to do that but of course he's not allowed to do that, so I think that has a lot to do with it. Bloody men lol

It is a lot of money hon and Dec is a bit dodgy - but I'm sure it would arrive even if there was a bit of snow. How about a sleigh with reindeers?! he he xx

I don't think I could risk it. The potential for bad weather anywhere between the 2 locations I think is quite high. It might not be snowy where you are or where he is but anywhere inbetween could be. On the other hand, if for whatever reason he didn't make it, would you get your money back? And if so that would be a nice bonus to go in the honeymoon pot!

Personally I would rather put the money towards the honeymoon if we had so much spare but it depends what is really important to you.
