Hello my names Yvette,
Im getting married in 18months so wanted to send out save a date cards, as all my friends and family have very busy life styles, this way i can make sure that people keep the date free. But what do i put on them? Can anyone help me please?

We sent out some save the date cards also, it helps to know how many numbers you are going to have too, you dont really need to put much on there you could just put Save the date E.G 1st Sept 2010 Yvette & H2B Are Getting Married! Please Let Us Know If You Can Attend! Full Details To Follow. Obviously you can word it better than that but u know what i mean we got ours from <a class="postlink" href="http://www.moonpig.com">www.moonpig.com</a> and they werent very expensive.

we did ours on vista print, they were gorgeous and very cheap. vista print do brill offers.

iv sent out save the date emails,,,used a picture of the two of us,marked it as priority so people know to keep it and mark it on calenders,and everyones replied to it so far

thats actually not a bad idea, great way to save money x
its more personal to,i opened up a word document,inserted a picture and our names,date of wedding,time and location,sized it and it was that easy

hi yvette, we sent out save the date fridge magnet. i got them personalised from ebay, they read, please save the date, 25th june 2011, Stuart o'kane and yvonne malloy are getting married, invitation will follow. you can pick from lots of different designs and writing fonts, and choose your own wording if you prefer. they were around £15 for 50. everyone loved them. hope that helps yvonne xx

I went to Vista print, where you can get 250 business cards printed for free, and all you pay is the p+p, it was about £3 or £4.

Ask the venue. Ours will provide save the date cards with details of the venue so ppl can make their room bookings and I think they are 50p. Not bad for a really fancy card... will save us a fortune. You just add the peoples names and the date etc in the spaces provided.

We sent out save the date fridge magnets that we got from vistaprint. We sent them out about a year ago (18 months before the wedding) to give people plenty of notice to book hotels etc as we're getting married 130 from home.
