Ordered our save the date cards and kept them very informal so thought I would keep the wording on our invitations informal too.
Been looking for wording to use, didn't want to use the traditional brides family inviting for two reasons, I don't have a dad and H2B family is paying a good chunk of our wedding. For the same reason I don't want to use wording where we are inviting people to our wedding as everyone is chipping in with the cost so heres what we are doing.......
Robert Shields would very much like to invite you to the wedding of his mummy Toni Shields to Jamie Macdermid on the day they become a proper family
I love this as it includes my son and then no one will feel put out because no one is going to begrudge a 3 year old the honour of inviting people lol also we are keeping this a surprise from everyone as I can just see it now when they all open their invite :D there will be a few tears lol

I would love Robert to give me away too but he will have only just turned 3 and I can imagine him refusing to walk down when he sees someone half way up he wants to go say hello to :) What age are your girls?

LOL aww bless him. That would be soooo sweet. The girls are 8 and 11 :-) We also have a son together whose 15 month's but not sure if or how to include him on the invites, so what we were thinking was doing the thank you's from him instead lol
