hi everyone, new to all this wedding planning rigmorol so would lve any helpful hints or tips tht you may have for us. we are hoping to get married in 2012 and were looking on here for some inspiration. we havent even set ourselves a budget yet as we were hoping to get some ideas on average pricing while on here

Firstly decide what sort of service you want Registry office/church etc, then look for venues - they are the two most important things to organise then everything sort of falls into place, decide on a colour scheme which helps organise all the little bits - then decide on which extras you want - chair covers/video etc. Obviously a budget will help as you can thing work out what things are the things you want to spend most money on like photographer/car etc.
Have fun too - wedding planning should be fun and everyone on her will help you - they are a great bunch of people.

hey welcome. Youll love this site and all the girls there so helpful. Id say choose your church/reg and look at venues. If you find one you love, you'll then beable to get a rough budget and can then set a date. as the venue/food is the biggest thing to pay for. oh and research photographers two as they can be another big pay out

ok firstly dont panic .....
with the amount of ideas that the girls on here have you will be sorted in no time .....
if you have a budget sorted out..thats the first thing to discuss with the h2b
then look at the likes of venue, photographer/videographer, transport as these are next main things to want to get organised
they say average wedding now costs £20,000 but all the girls on here are under that and i myself doing mine for £3500 ...not scrimping on anything but found the bargains long the way x

I'm a newbie too!!
We got engaged on Saturday & it's been like a rollercoaster since then. We've set our hearts of the 25th August 2012 for our big day, but have found that some venues already have bookings for that date!!! I never imagined places would get booked up so early!!
But hey ho! It's back on the phones and the web today to try and get some viewings!! It's all VERY exciting!! x

Hi congrats and welcome have you looked thru your page on here it had a budget planner etc also you can search threads on the forum to look at other people who want to know what they need to do how much things are etc
first you need to do some research into what you want civil or church four course meal or hog roast and find a ruff idea of what things can cost and set a budget. you may be able to reduce this as you find bargins people on here will help lots

firstly decide on Budget. Don't think you need to spend an arm and a leg, some people tell you Weddings cost a fortune etc they cost how much you want to spend! You need to look at location i.e UK or Abroad, church or civil. try and find a date, some places can book up quick. Once date is sorted then all the planning and fun starts. Don't say yes to things to early, you may regret it later on.
