I want to get married in my church, the one i go every week, but my h2b doesnt want all my family there (its huge) so we agreed to get wed in wales, but i really want a church wedding, which is hard enough as he is not baptised, but now trying to arrange it to get married in a church in wales. Has anyone done this before, was it really hard to organise, did you have to attend mass at the church you was getting married at? Did you have to do preparation lessons at that church?
Oh and im cathoic so think its different to cofE rules.

Look at the Catholic church website as it explains what you need to do.

When i married my ex we got married in a church somewhere neither of us had ever lived.
He was in the army so we lived in salisbury whiltshire but we wanted to get married in wells next the sea norfolk, which is a 3 hour drive away.
As my nan was born and breed there, the vicar let us do this and we didnt have to be there when our banns were read either.
I think as long as you have a connection to the church through family then its ok ..............depending on the vicar.
