Ok BHS have a sale on at the moment so me and h2b went and had alook round the bridal section. I ended up falling in love with a pair of shoes and buying them for the wedding. On the way home we were having a conversation about the wedding and it suddenly dawned on me that is more than two years away (sorry ladies who have to wait 3/4 years, im having abit of a moment here) and whether there was alot of point doing anything else until atleast july 2011. We have arranged the church and my dress is on its way (dress takes 9 months so will be here feb 2011). I spoke to my mum about it and she said just to get the venue sorted and then wait. But its making me a little depressed. I know in two years me and h2b will love each more than ever but.......................its like 742days according to my counter!!!!!

We cant bring it forward....well we can but we dont want too. The date of our wedding 21.07.2012 is my grampys bu=irthday and falls on a saturday, just want me want. Me and max had to compramise as i wanted one church (where my grampy is buried) and he wanted another (where his nan is buried) so i said we can get married in his church IF we can get married on my grampys birthday. Im just soooo grateful it fell on a saturday else i would have been posponing until it did lol xx

I know how you feel!! Am dying to get going, but at the moment can only console myself with virutal shopping on the internet. I do keep changing my mind tho on what I want so its probably a good idea i have not bought everything yet. Only booked venue, registrar and band. And looking for a photographer.

Theres no reason why you cant get little bits and pieces along the way it all saves money in the long run, at the beginning we decided to get one thing each month and put things away and it saved us money and time in the long run x

Thats what i thought i would do as you dont seem to see how much money you spend if you do it in little pieces. I know its for the best but its actually quite frustrating looking at these perfect shoes in the little wedding bag they come in to keep them clean and rememebering im not actually going to wear those shoes for another two years lol

has Mr heidianne not had a peek i hope??? Lol im gonna get the dress maker to keep mine it would be insuraned with the shop so if anything goes wrong eg the shop catchs fire then they owe me a dress lol xx

LOL We're getting married in June 2012, I know how it feels, but you can provisionally book the venue now which is a plus. We're having ours abroad hopefully so we haven't settled on the venue yet, though we have been gettings bits here and there, and I've managed to get a wedding guestbook secondhand unused, which will come in handy if I can't come up with a design I like myself lol!

We're getting married August 2011 and that still seems ages away. We've got a lot booked and paid for so at least we don't have to pay out nearer the time (gives us time to save for the honeymoon). I think this year is going to drag - then I think that it doesn't seem two minutes since we got engaged and that was 8 months ago.

lol, tell me about it.. I keep looking at everything I want and have already bought little bits and bobs, but still have almost 4 years to wait!! I would bring it forward if we could afford it.. but we cant (well we could but we would have to comprimise some things) and I don't want want to comprimise anything.. it's worth waiting for! Will be soo much more worth it and we're still gunna be together.. so :) happy either way! But look on the bright side... more chance to look around... more chance to bag a bargain... some women get engaged and are married a couple of months later.. there's hardly enough time to get excited.. we can be excited about it for AGES... AND we get to spend longer on here getting all excited about everyone else's wedding too!! :) xx
im getting married may 2012 and i just cant help myself. every time i go shopping i come back with something diffenrt for the wedding. im just setting my self monthly targets to pay for a different thing every time i get paid that way i can focus on paying for it then by the time i have it will be here xxxxx
