We were really blown away with how many gifts we received on our Wedding day as we didn't actually put a gift list in the invites. We had 4 bottles of Champers, a T pot, lots of money etc but I think the best gift was........
Our little 8 week old kitten called Strummer!!!!(Named after Joe Strummer from The Clash!!!!)
So, I was wondering if there were any presents you were given that you thought were amazing??

We got lots of cash which was good as we wanted to do our bedroom up - the last room to complete in our house. We also got some photo frames, champers and vouchers. His parents gave us £500 which we were blown away at as they had already given us £500 towards the cost of the wedding. I would say that was the gift that most suprised us. My parents also gave us £100 which meant a lot as they do struggle financially. So it was nt the amount of cash or even that it was cash, just the effort our parents had gone to.
I really did marry my Mr Wright and we had a nice day for a
Wright wedding!

H2B has a friend with the last name Jones.. I got them a personalised photo frame that said 'Me and Mrs. Jones...' and then the date of their wedding on it.. I didn't know until their first dance that that was actually their wedding song :-) His friend text him the next day saying his wife had opened it and burst out crying, placed it in the middle of their mantle piece and cried everytime she walked past it haha !! So that was a very much appreciated gift :-) I'm hoping we just get money as we'll be lucky to afford a honeymoon at the moment.. xxx

ours was a Jamie Oliver pan lol best pressy we had and we had quite a few including new place mats and a gorgeous vase. My godmother bought us the pan...
We also got loads of cash - including £200 form our next door neighbours - that was a shock and £10 from a friend, single mum of 5 kids - so that's a huge amount for her to spare and touched me a lot. Our son bought us theatre tickets for a show in London - really touched us as he said he bought them so we can spend some time alone doing something nice. Our daughter and partner provided our bridal car as wedding present - it was amazing open top bentley - loved it and they added a numberplate 'Mr & Mrs B' which looked fab on the car - they also drove us around the town on the way to reception, to loads of toots, waving and cheers from passers by - very nice

Some fab pressies there ladies!!! We loved every present we received, it was the thought that counted!!!
We're going to a Wedding next month and now I'm thinking what I can get the couple??!!

We were very, very lucky. We did have a gift list and it was pretty much cleared out, which was amazing in itself. We also got given an envelope by our amazing comedienne friend and her partner which, when we opened it back home, had a grand in £20 notes in it! I tipped it out on the bed and felt like we'd won the lottery LOL!
But truly, I think our best present was that my (late) dad's cousin and his wife surprised us with coming out to Vegas for the actual wedding, and then buying the whole drinks package for our wedding breakfast at the Top of the World restaurant. So very generous.
We are very lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives.

wow some amazing wedding gifts! we have asked for contributions to our wedding but a lot of my guests are students so I would be so touched if they gave us anything....im so touched theyre all coming 300 miles up to Durham - some of them just for the evening do!!!!

Not yet married- Less than 5 weeks to go. We asked for money to be put towards honeymoon. Just my inlaws, OH bro and gran gave us the price for honeymoon which is a staggering £2250 and that's just from them. We are both amazed by their generosity. xx

Not married yet (6 weeks to go!) My mum sat me and H2B down and said as a wedding present she's going to pay for the entire wedding!! Which is currently at a total of £10k!!!! We couldn't believe it!

We've got over a year to go but we know 3 of our presents, all amazing. H2Bs parents had money invested for when he got married that comes to £10k, and my parents similar which comes to £7k. We can ask for money from that at any point to make payments for the wedding, and we hope to have enough left to do up H2Bs house, to make a profit on it when we upsize. A good friend of H2B in Los Angeles has given us a week in a Los Angeles hotel, as his wife just inherited something like £15 million dollars. We did both think maybe that was the honeymoon sorted, but then it occurred to me that we'd need to spend time with Dustin and family, rather than just the two of us.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.

Our wedding is coming few months from now, the best wedding present that I want is for my family to be there on my wedding day. That will be the BEST time for us to be together again for 8 years I haven't seen my mum.. :( Finger crossed hope they all be there.

My wedding isn't until next year but I've already received the best wedding present. Last year an organ donor saved my life which has enabled me and my fiancé to plan our wedding. Without her wonderful gift I wouldn't be getting married at all. So for me the best present was one that money can't buy!

We had some very generous guests, and managed to get £2k in cash/cheques off our guests which paid off our honeymoon. We also got our Mr and Mrs Liverpool FC shirts (which we'll wear on the way out to Mexico in 8 weeks!), my grandparents paid for the Bentley that took us over to our hotel for two nights which my Maid of Honour paid for and that set her back a few hundred quid!
